Literally horrible. Good location and the first floor looks nice. That's the only pro! We thought the old management was bad, but greystar is even worse. The leasing agents don't have a clue of what is going on and the manager is full of broken promises. The grounds are not kept clean and there is pet feces everywhere. There is trash strewn about the parking garage. The elevators are always dirty. The parking garage is not regulated and anyone can park there. I have lived in this building for over a year, we thought when greystar management took over, things would get better. Oh how wrong we were, if fact, things got several times worse. Besides prices skyrocketing, while amenities were cut, service is terrible and worst of all, safety has decreased significantly. Since Greystar took over, I have had over $4000.00 worth of items stolen from secure areas of the building including several packages and other property. I've lived at the Domain for a year, and I absolutely love it. It's my favorite apartment I've stayed in since I've moved to the Bay Area a few years ago. I just signed a lease to stay another year, and the management team (Jeremy and Gabriela) were absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly helpful with making everything go so smoothly and easily. To start, I would give this building's management a negative 10 review. There are previous complaints about the old building manager, Marcus, but he is an angel compared to the new management. Sometime in the last few months, the building was purchased by new owners. The next day, the previous building employees were replaced by a group of people who seem to hate their job! The phone line is forwarded to a cell phone that no one answers, and all of the shipments are dumped around the building as opposed to the locker system ... read more

I lived at Domain from July 2012 to June 2018. It has had its ups and downs but has been pretty good for the most part. I liked having my packages stored when delivered which was one of the great selling points for me. Also, it's an easy short walk to BART, which is great if you commute to SF (which I did). The staff has been good though at times a bit uneven with the changes in management over my time there. False fire alarms were a pain as well a people not cleaning-up after their pets. AVOID AVOID AVOID. As long as Greystar is the management company, you should NOT live here. The prior management company (basically all the old reviews from 2017 that are positive) is gone and has been replaced by a management company that is basically absent, does not listen to its residents, and is completely inept. I've lived here for 2 years and used to love it. The location's great, and I'm happy with our actual apartment. But the management? OH LORD. Where to start? After visiting would never consider living here. Incredibly overrated with some of the rudest leasing agents I've ever encountered. The management company might as well fire the staff and start over given how unprepared they were to provide a tour to someone who setup an appointment through their website. Even after touring, the mediocre quality of the units at a price point that wouldn't even be worth it in SF was a complete turn off. I recently moved out at the end of May after Greystar acquired Domain from FPI management. I must say that this has been the worst experience possible with the transition between management companies. Domain Oakland now owned by Greystar has completely dropped the ball. It's been a month and Domain has yet to return my security deposit. I've contacted the new property manager multiple times. Called day after day, sent multiple emails. Update: Greystar Management has taken since he building was bought - and they are HORRIBLE!!! * If there are any good reviews left about this property or management, it was left by one of their employees. Honestly, look elsewhere to live!! We can not wait until our lease is up!
