Since Greystar came as the new management company, this place has become terrible, as soon as my lease is over I'm moving to one of the new buildings being build in Oakland, so many options, I don't need to deal with this poorly managed building.

New owners, and they started taking away amenities. They lost 2 of my packages, and took zero responsibilities. The new staff is not very friendly, they lied to me several times about my packages. The rec rooms are poorly maintained. I really miss the old staff. I probably won't live here again.

Disappointed. Like others below me, this review pertains to new management that took over a few months ago (Greystar). There are a lot of issues with: communication, cleanliness, amenities but the #1 reason I am writing this review is due to the SAFETY issue at Domain. The front door of the lobby has been shattered, packages (both incoming and outgoing) have been torn apart and stolen. Strangers have been seen sleeping in our communal cafe or using the gym. To start, I loved living here under the old management. Ever since the new management took over it has made my decision real easy to look elsewhere once my lease is up. The commons grounds have become dirty, I have yet to see them vacuum the hallways. On multiple occasions they have turned off the gas to all units claiming it would only be a few hours, however turned into multiple days.. meaning you could not cook or shower. I never leave 1-star reviews but here goes. I am deeply regretting re-signing a lease here. Things were OK under previous management but since Greystar Management took over in May of this year things have become unsafe, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. A short list of current problems here: -- SAFETY: in the last 2-3 weeks I've personally seen people who don't live in the building sleeping in common areas, using the gym, lurking in the garage, charging phones, etc. A friend of mine caught someone stealing packages ... read more

Hi there - if you're reading positive reviews about this place, they were probably posted before the building was sold and new management took over sometime in the late spring/early summer of 2018. They've been HORRIBLE. Don't take it from me - there has been a petition posted against the new management, who have decided to take away our previously included internet. Literally horrible. Good location and the first floor looks nice. That's the only pro! We thought the old management was bad, but greystar is even worse. The leasing agents don't have a clue of what is going on and the manager is full of broken promises. The grounds are not kept clean and there is pet feces everywhere. There is trash strewn about the parking garage. The elevators are always dirty. The parking garage is not regulated and anyone can park there. I have lived in this building for over a year, we thought when greystar management took over, things would get better. Oh how wrong we were, if fact, things got several times worse. Besides prices skyrocketing, while amenities were cut, service is terrible and worst of all, safety has decreased significantly. Since Greystar took over, I have had over $4000.00 worth of items stolen from secure areas of the building including several packages and other property.
