Not a reliable purchase for photo scanning see uploaded picture. With my particular scanner, every time there is a flat gradient being scanned, like a sky or a wall in the picture, the scanner likes to put random waves of dark and light in vertical and horizontal patterns. The scan software is incredibly cheap, few options for scanning. It tends to dose every scan in an abnormal amount of contrast.. which is ideal for a document but not for scanning pictures. One of the most unnecessarily convoluted products I bought this to scan/organize receipts. I have a PhD and still couldn't figure out how to use what should have been a tremendously easy to use. Waste of money...

Nightmare Software!!!! It ERASED my computer! Currently working on attempting to restore my computer. I downloaded the software that came with this scanner. I even paid the $10 for the BR-Receipts download. After getting everything downloaded I clicked on the BR-Receipts and it immediately popped up an error telling me to uninstall software and reinstall. Doesn't work on Mac 10.14 Unable to install driver on my Mac. Took hours and then I gave up. Maybe if you have a desktop this would work, but I have a MacBook Air and there is no CD drive, which the scanner comes with. In this day and age who has a CD drive on a mobile device? Wish it would have worked. No technical support on the weekend either.

Disc with Driver and online version wouldn't load The driver would not install even with the online version.

Low grade This is a low grade scanner. Not great.
Bogus product Doesn't work at all. Installed the driver, connected the scanner. Software wouldn't recognize the scanner, yet once plugged in, the scanner lit up. Obviously a POS.

Returned-> unable to use with OSX 10.13 Unable to get scanner to connect to Mac running High Sierra OSX 10.13.6. Tried CD that came with scanner, tried downloading a driver from Brother website, searched websites for updates. After an hour gave up, repackaged for return, printed return label, dropped off at UPS. We tried our best! but ultimately a FAIL.
