so far so terrible near impossible to connect. Actually, impossible. If you want to be efficient, this is not the product for you

not a great scanner All of the programs come on a disk, My laptop doesn't have a cd-rom drive. I had to search to find the correct software on their horrible website. nothing I have ever tried to scan as ever come out good. I am very disappointed in this scanner. unfortunately it is past the window for me to return it AND i no longer have the box. I wouldn't buy this scanner if I where you. I had the epson Workforse DS-40 and it is 100% better.

Compatibility issues This could have been a reasonable small scanner. It gets a two star rating for the lack of compatibility with my iMac, which has OS High Sierra 10.13.6. Before I ordered the unit, I wrote the community a question, and received an answer from Brother saying that the unit was compatible. Impossible to set up on a MacBook Air After trying for an hour and a half and finally giving up I was unable to get it to work or connect on my MacBook Air. Must not be compatible.

Does Not Work I've had this machine in my possession for over a month now but I only recently started using it. It works fine to scan IDs and such but it cannot scan a simple piece of paper. I keep getting the prompt that the paper is jammed but upon further inspection, there is nothing wrong. I've tried being patient and opening and closing the scanner but to no avail. Read the description very carefully before ordering This is partially my fault, because I didn't read the description well enough. I expected a portable scanner that runs on batteries and scans to a card. My bad. So, being fair to the product, used as it is supposed to be, it still stinks.The software is awkward and it took me quite awhile to figure out how to scan a simple page and to access it on my PC. Beware of the upsell... This works pretty good. I ran the CD installer (Win 7 Pro 64-bit), plugged in the scanner, clicked the desktop icon and hit the power button and I was scanning. The scan to multi-page PDF worked okay and the image quality was nice. I have used it several times. The only reason for not getting a better rating was because I had to scan a very thin piece of paper and it jammed. When it jammed, I was able to fix it easily enough but the software then started a new multi-page PDF (No alerts or warnings). S... read more
Don't buy it I have had this scanner for about three months it has worked maybe three weeks. First, I loved it, that was before I went from scanning a normal paper to a business card after that the device did not work. As I travel 90% of the time it is imperative any product works first time every time! This product never even went on the road with me I was using it at my desk.
