The scan quality is good, speed is pretty slow This was definitely an affordable scanner. But sometimes, you do get what you pay for... After a year of very light, occasional use, the rollers on this scanner have given out and paper jams EVERY TIME. Bad idea Did not work for me.
Before this problem solve by either Brother or Windows, DO NOT BUY IT it was working ok before. Not the best thing in scanner market, but ok for its size. But the recent win 10 update made it unusable. I tried to follow instructions on Brother website, after several install and uninstall, nothing works. Don't buy if you have MAC OS 10.15 Catalina. No driver for it. Loved it until I upgraded to Mac OS 10.15. No drivers for it! It was great until now.
Not Something I Would Recommend It is very hard to work with it. I have spent mpre time trying to get it to work than what I have been able to use it. The image it scans is not the best either.

I gave this two starts due to the fact that ... I gave this two starts due to the fact that the paper slides through with no problem. There was no software added, I had to pay $10 for a non friendly user, too much reading to figure out program. I will be sending this scanner back, because no electronic device should be hard to figure out from the point of plugging in and turning on.
