My dog Hannah drank too much water while swimming in the pool and was in very bad shape. She was experiencing severe hyponatremia so I rushed her to the Vet. They kept her overnight and only did necessary tests. Next day she was back to normal. The Vet on duty was intelligent and kind. The front desk lady wasn't nice but it was understandable because the ER was packed and she was stressed out. This place was great when my dog had an emergency out on North Fork. They were very thorough and importantly, sympathetic and human towards me, the pet owner, who was freaking out. They treated me and my dog with kindness, both the receptionist and the vet, and they followed up with phone calls and test results. The vet and technician went out of their way to make sure my dog was comfortable and safe, and reassurred me without bsing me. These are good people.

DO NOT GO THERE! My dog wasn't acting like himself so I brought him here, what a mistake, they took blood and nothing else but kept him for 2 days and charged me 12 thousand dollars. What a joke of a place

I'm extremely disappointed with East End Vet. Last night, we called and spoke to a receptionist to ask if we could bring in an injured stray cat we found in Riverhead. We were told, "Yes, come anytime." Based on that, we showed up the next morning expecting they would help. When we arrived, the receptionist denied that anyone would have said that and the emergency veterinarian said they needed to "check the communication log" to see if we were telling the truth about calling. I Brought my car in there and $2700 later for unnecessary tests the cat had a UTI which was identified by my vet at home. Heard horror stories from neighbors who went there. Stay clear !!!

We were told our pup needed surgery asap or he would get sepsis. This scared the hell out of us. They advertise as a 24 hr surgical facility, yet they made our dog wait a day and a half before getting a surgeon in to operate. We couldn't believe it because sepsis was imminent according to them! This resulted in more charges because dog was staying there, fully medicated while he waited for surgery. In addition they then had the audacity to charge us an after hours emergency surgery call in. I'm so disappointed at both the vet and the service at the front desk. My 8 month old puppy possibly ingested a grapevine (toxic to dogs) and I called ASPCA poison control who told me I need to take him in for bloodwork IMMEDIATELY. I arrive at 5am after he threw up twice over night. First off the place is filthy. I was treated as an annoyance, and my dog was used as a pin cushion. They never understood the problem or examined my dog. We left after a couple of hours are essentially traumatized by the whole experience.
