Get directionsFirst off the place is filthy. I was treated as an annoyance, and my dog was used as a pin cushion. They never understood the problem or examined my dog. We left after a couple of hours are essentially traumatized by the whole experience.
The most incompetent reception/admin staff I've ever seen. I arrived at 10am and was told it would be an hour wait. Fine. After an hour I was told it would be another 30-45 mins. Also fine. What I wasn't told was that there was only 1 doc there and that a 2nd would be arriving at 3pm. I said I would wait in my car and he agreed to call my cell when it was my turn, then an hour later he said I missed my slot because I wasn't there in the waiting room. "I'm just the messenger," she said. "Your job is to be the messenger." Was ... read more
AVOID TAKING YOUR PET HERE AT ALL COSTS!!Read other 1 star reviews! Great docs left here like Dr Lombardi!! THIS IS HORRIBLE! My dog was diagnosed was mild pneumonia on a Thursday and sent home (even though the vet knew he had severe breathing issues.) I had to rush my dog back in the next day because he was struggling to breathe. Once my dog was admitted, I did not receive the update calls I was promised. In addition, every time the doctor changed shifts I was given conflicting information. By the next day (Saturday) I was ... read more
East End Veterinary is extremely expensive. I was charged $540 to make my dog throw up. I called another Emergency Vet Clinic in Centereach and was quoted $300 to $400 dollars. I should have went there. I was literally there for 15 minutes. I understand their business model and they have to pay more money to be open 24/7. Buy it was insane how much I was charged. They even had a $45 fee to dispose of a needle. If your dog is in dire need of medical care, then have at it. I would too. But if you have a few minutes, at least ... read more
My French Bulldog Zuzu. Sunday I drove her to my sister's house, a mile away from my house. We were there about a half an hour because she started panting real hard. It was in the evening, not during the heat of the day. There were just a few people there, and three dogs about her size. Brought her home, and put her in a cool bath because she was panting so hard and vomited after drinking water. She seemed fine after about 15 minutes, and was pretty normal the rest of the night. In the morning she seemed a little not like h... read more
ANIMAL NEGLECT. Never bring your pet here. Our golden retriever was having stomach problems and would not eat her food. We took her to this vet for help and she came home to us in terrible shape like she had been neglected. They had her stay two nights to try to stop her from having vomiting and diarrhea. They never found the cause for any of her issues. They decided to shave her bottom area near her rear end which created raw skin, then they clearly had her laying in her own feces when we weren't there. We also requested th... read more
We've filed a complaint with the Office of Professional Discipline at NYSED since we still haven't received any information about biopsy results, how much were being billed, no receipt etc and this was our experience with staff; Our dog was operated on by Dr. Larkin and he was the ONLY one who was professional at this veterinary center. They're understaffed and our dog had to sit in a cage 8 hours because the surgeon was too busy to bandage her. The secretary for the surgery department only talks to you ONCE and only about b... read more
Noooooo. This Animal Hospital is owned by a corporation and while they may treat your pets- money is their absolute bottom line. They tried getting me to admit my dog rifgt from the first 10 minutes. They wanted to hospitalize her to do an ultrasound. Why? You can do that today as an outpatient. Of course we can, tney said. I took my dog home even though she was I'll. She didn't need to be in a cage, afraid all night with strangers for no reason. Then I called a few days later because she vomited and wanted to ask if the... read more
Our experience felt mechanical and money hungry. We were left in the dark regarding our dogs condition. Procedures that were not authorized were performed due to a convoluted estimate/deposit system. All of which were dramatically more expensive than other hospitals. We were told that any charges more than the low end of the estimate would be consulted before the procedure was done, only to find out later that this was not the case. After waiting 5 hours we still had no results of our dogs condition. We had to wait for x ra... read more
