As a former claims adjuster with this company I can tell you if you have a claim? Get your states department of insurance involved at once! The process is slow and may take a while to get any estimates or supplements. Furthermore if you have rental coverage of the adjuster isnt following the claim close enough, and considering they are overwhelmed with claims do they arent, your rental will end prior to your car being repaired. Ive been waiting for a check for damage on my car since 2019, since that time Ive changed insurance companies because of the service Ive had additional damage to my car the current insurance has already paid per the agreement with elephant they would pay the rest, its been just about two months and still no check Im being told that its an issue with the system and they are waiting on the i t department I spoke with ***** through email and by phone
I was with elephant for about ten years and my wife as well. I had one vehicle insured my wife had two. I just recently paid my six month premium at the end of May 2023 and my payment was $290. Less than two weeks later I got rid of my car I had insured because I recently purchased another car. So I called elephant to transfer the $290 on to my current car and they told me they couldn't insured my car because it had a rebuilt title. I was rear ended by a driver that has Elephant Insurance in an at fault state, meaning, his insurance pays. Because he does not answer the phone when they call him and he doesnt call them back, they will not cover repairs to my car. I needed to put this through my own insurance to get coverage. This company is fraudulent.
This has been the worse experience. Im looking to go somewhere else my car was damaged and finding someone to fix it is crazy because everyone dont except elephant. The adjuster that helps you doesnt do anything they act like they dont know what they are doing they only have one rental place its such an inconvenience.. Im switching back to Allstate I never had this problem with I eater pay more than to deal with this
Hello! My name is *****. im also disabled, (hearing impaired) After Being with this company 6 years no accidents no speeding tickets no nothing. I moved from NO VA to a smaller area less crowded about less than 8k people live here. My insurance went down when i moved here along with the yearly drop for having a clean record. By far the worst experience I have ever had. I was told I would have to file under collision despite having uninsured motorist and paying every month for them to protect me in a situation like this. I was hit as I was inside my sons school dropping him off so not even near the vehicle, told I was lying about what happened. Employees Made multiple promises none of which were kept. In 2018 I found a better rate with another company and called Elephant to cancel my policy with them. Before hanging up I verified with the agent I was no longer staying with their company and canceling everything. A year later my credit report says I owe them over $400 in delinquent payments. FALSE. I disputed this and they said I still owed them. I've been trying to get it resolved since with no luck. Every month like clockwork they report it as still being active and it's not helping my credit at all.
Elephant insurance is just what all these other reviews say, THE WORST, TERRIBLE, SCAM ARTISTS. Their policy holder hit my car and took off! I had to find her! Only because the establishment across the street from where my car was hit had cameras, and I had the part she left behind and I'm relentless did I find her.
