Although more affordable than more established established insurance companies, theres no grace ****** of ******************************************** State Farm, you receive a cancellation notice within one day of a missed payment. Theres certainly better options for your insurance needs. Shop around. They are quick to take payment and Im betting slow to pay out on a case in time of need.
Terrible customer service. My claim has been bounced to three different representatives and now I cant even get a response. Ive emailed and called multiple times. They also charged us for renewing as a customer - almost doubled the first month of the renewal term, then went back down.
I have a vehicle that was damaged at a mechanic shop and more than likely is a total loss. My vehicle is financed so I had to have full coverage insurance and I even had gap just to make sure I was covered. Elephant is denying my claim because the exact date of damage is unknown. Should not matter I have pictures, emails and messages from messenger that clearly shows the damage happen but still. We are a **************** that has done repairs on a vehicle insured by Elephant Insurance. We completed the repairs but supplemented our shop rates. There was a $10.00 difference in rates for Body and Refinish. There was a $6.00 difference in rates for paint and materials and a $23.00 difference in mechanical rate. This company after a very long drawn out back and forth refused to pay the prevailing rates for our area. I have a **** ****** Pathfinder. I have not only taken very good care of my car and maintained it but my car has a sentimental value. Yes my car may be old and yes it has a lot of miles on it but it was always serviced and kept up. Although I purchased this vehicle outright with cash I got a loan on it to make repairs to my home. They are a thieves! On the October 3rd, I moved one of the drivers and instead of reimbursing me for the remaining 27 days , they said that their guideline does not allow that.
I was recently in an accident. The person that hit me has this company for insurance, and I feel bad for them. I have tried to reach out to Elephant in order to get a rental car and a reimbursement for my deductible while my car is in the shop and I am constantly sent to voicemail. I went as far as filing a third party claim with them in order to get the process started and the only thing they've done is send me one e-mail which I'm sure was computer generated. Day 1 - June 30, 2022 ************** plus extra coverage for a lower monthly rate than my current insurance company. Sent and signed everything that was needed according to the over the phone agent. Asked if anything else was needed, over the phone advisor "no sir, everything has been entered and completed". I even did the early bird sign up to be able to get a discount. STAY AWAY FROM ELEPHANT INSURANCE--Elephant canceled my policy without notification for going on and getting a quote for my daughter at a different address. I had paid on time for 3 years with no claims. I went on line to add renters insurance to my policy to find they had canceled it 5 days prior with out communicating with me.
