My son was rear ended on the highway by someone who had elephant insurance! They denied our claim and we had to go through our own insurance which will turn around and sue them to get the money back! I would not use them if you are at all concerned about them paying a claim!
Unfortunately, I have had elephant for some time now and I have been requesting to remove a driver from My policy for a few months now and I’ve been denied every single time with a horrible reason. The driver Id like to remove from one 1 vehicle policy doesn’t live with me and is an adult. I am not allowed to remove him until he has insurance. I write this review not with the intent to be malicious or harm Elephant. I am on here to tell you my husband and I’s experience only. I am sure Elephant has thousands of happy customers but this is one story I feel needs to be heard in hopes that this never happens to another person or family again. If I could leave negative stars I would. This company is a joke. I had set up the policy after a split and I had moved I won't go into those details but because I would give all kinds of personal information on my situation and my life I was very rudely told to find another carrier because it was standard policy for them to ask for all the information and if I could not or would not provide them then they could not keep me insured and I got a cancellation notice in the mail three days later. so I did what they told me and fo... read more
Had Elephant insurance for about a year because it was reasonable compared to other insurance companies. However, Two things happened that I did not expect and caused me problems. 1) Elephant insurance sold my personal information and caused personal security issues. 2)They did not do their part and did not send the information to *** *** ** ***** that I had insurance with them. Was told no help due to corona. My business was shut down and my work just started back up. I needed a 2 week extension. Went through all my savings already. Was told sorry and to call back and make a new policy when I was able to.

This company overcharged us after we had called in to have an accident removed in January and now they say they never received a call and they are not able to remove the accident until March so we are being charged ***for March and February we paid ******. The actual bill for April and going forward is 230 which is what we should have been charged for feb and March if the accident was removed when we asked it to be removed in January when it took place. The fact that during this crisis the CEO, the board, or whoever is considered executives encourage shady practices is shameful and will soon come to light. You’re praying on the people you insure at a horrible time in the world, but not this guy. You tried to raise my rate by $** a month when nothing has changed. No new accidents or tickets, but yet try to milk your customers when they are worried about staying healthy, their family staying healthy, and overall surviving during this scary time. I think the reviews speak for themselves in regards to this company. Everything that's been said I can relate to and unfortunately the oversight for this insurance company needs to be contacted and pointed to this page. I can understand one offs or even two to three people having a bad experience with a company but hundreds? That's different.
