BEWARE!!!!! On 9/6/19 I backed into my garage door and damaged the weatherstrip. Called Precision and was greeted by an Elite tech. He told me the entire door needed to be replaced to the tune of $3000. He said the door had a dent which would turn into a crack. (never could see the dent). The office called to set up installation. precision did the original garage door open installation & failed to use lockWashers in J-hook connecting the trackRider & theDoor. the elite repairMan simply replaced w/ lockNuts under warranty.

On an earlier review I gave a 4 star but after a day of thinking it should have been a 3 star as I said it was expensive should have gotten a second opinion. Nothing wrong with the installation just the price was extremely high. Do get a second opinion nothing to lose but maybe money to save.

On 12/24/14 we had Precision replace 2 springs. All was well with the installation. Between 12/24 and 4/26/17 one of the springs broke. Since the spring was under warranty it was replaced on 4/26/17, all was good with the installation. On 9/1/19 we had another spring break on us. Technician came out and told us he had to replace both springs and could not just replace one. .Te spring on my garage door was broken I called Precision garage door for appointment they sent 2 technicians from Elite Garage Doors & Gates (apparently they are the same company) They replaced the spring and the rollers on the sides of the garage door frame. When this was finished, they said they could not get electricity to the garage door opener and would have to replace it too. They replaced it and charged me $3,946.70. I wrote them a check. Tried to charge $600 for spring replacement. Magically price was reduced by half when I said never mind. My perfectly running door opener somehow didn’t work after they replaced The springs. When I said I didn’t want them to replace it l, the technician made an adjustment and all of a sudden it worked again. This company is a poster child for the up-sell. Buyer beware!!

Would give less than one star but not available. Poor craftsmanship And worse customer service. The management sent out four different techs to replace a door. They never called to discuss issues or apologize for their mistakes and damage caused by installers. Don’t walk.....run from doing business with this company.

Service Person was very knowledgeable, knew what he was doing but they are Con Artists! The person I made the appointment with told me it was going to be around $285 for both springs installed. (higher than other businesses) in the area but they were the only ones who would be here at 8 AM so I was OK with it as we needed to get the cars out Service Person did not show up until 9:30AM. Long story below for my review on Precision Door Service, but I will sum up the take-aways for those who don’t want to read it: - poor customer service - Takes days to get a tech, very slow to return calls, follow up appointments to fix according to their diagnosis not scheduled - lack of product expertise - technician sent knew nothing of the product he was supposed to diagnose and subsequently mis-diagnosed the problem yet still charged me a full price - over-charge a LOT (like over 2x) - do your homework prior and read th... read more
