I called Elite Garage doors because my garage door would stop half way down and then open back up after technician checked it out he convinced me I needed a new motor rollers and so on $1500 later my door is doing the same thing it was doing before they even looked at it very frustrating and expensive

Well I gave these guys a 2nd try and they failed again. First time I used these guys they installed a new gate opener and now I wonder if I really needed it because..... the 2nd time I had them out for a different gate, they recommended many $100’s in service for an incorrect diagnosis where I just needed to replace the battery. I had to fight them for the refund but they ultimately gave me my money back. Elite Garage Doors & Gates use high pressure sales tactics, to rip you off. I had a basic service for a broken spring, in which the original quote was $700 after disassembly, to sales person stated I needed a few more parts that increased the total price to $1,800.00 after tax. He knew we were in a hurry as we were late to an appointment, and used this and the partially disabled motion system to sell more overpriced parts and earn more commission. The price he quoted me was $1,000.00 less than what was the final bill.I had to get it fixed to protect my family, but I will NEVER recommend as I felt as though it was a toy scam even when I said that was extremely high he said that the cost. I never though replacing just the motor no door would cost 2,700.00 ridiculous.

Be very careful before allowing this company in your home. They sold me a “lifetime” warranty on my garage door springs, promising free replacements anytime they break. So when the first one did break, I called them to replace it. Not only did they make me wait two days longer than two other companies I contacted, but they charged as much for the labor as the other two companies charged for two new springs installed. Had way to many issues with this company, our problem was the reverse sensors on the garage door. The first time the tech came out and looked at the sensors said there was nothing wrong with them that it most likely was the vibration in the rails, he readjusted the sensors and lubricated the door. 3 or 4 days later we had the same problem again, I called back and was told the next time the tech would be out was a week. Terrible experience. I should have known when I made the appt. and it was a call center. I called what I thought was Sun City Garage Doors (on the internet). It was actually Elite. Made appt. For noon next day. Guy called at 8:15 am saying on his way. Wrong time. He did what I asked...new keypad and rubber on bottom of door. Then said I needed new springs for $500. The repairs were done satisfactorily. The complaint is that the process was a classic upsell from the outset. I was quoted a price to reset my garage door. Once this was done, I was told I needed a new spring. I agreed because I had added insulation (weight) to the door. Then I needed a new center bearing, Then new end bearings, then new cables, then new torsion drums. I could not get my AAA discount because he had already discounted the end bearings. I paid more than 1,600 dollars to the company. They used to work under Precision Doors. Now they are called Elite Garage Doors and Gates. The only person who contacts you is "Paul" You are not allowed to talk to the Installer, to the Supervisor, or the Manager. They want to keep everything very secretive for some reason. You will never get a response of anything after you pay them. I have been dealing with them for 48 hours. Paul refuses to give you his name or title within the company.
