Couldn't open garage door on Monday, April 18, 2022, car inside, called a company that wouldn't be able to come until Wednesday, then called Elite, a company I'd dealt with in the past under another name. Technician came out that day, looked at the door and told me I needed a new spring. Have not been completely satisfied as service call always starts out with, your unit is too oldthey have almost rebuilt the entire system on our main door.this last call was for our smaller back yard garage door. The young, surly technician was just supposed to change the sensors which he did but so sloppy, leaving wires exposed and so loose they get in the track. I had a spring break on my garage door around 4pm so I was in a bit of a rush to get it fixed. Bad idea!!! The tech was courteous and professional but offered to install 2 springs on my garage door which an unlincensed company tried to sale me on before but I refused. That caused me some concern! Then he said that he was installing a stronger spring (I believe 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" instead of the 2" that was already installed. I had a glass panel break on my garage door because of a bad install. Warranty does not cover glass so I had to pay for a replacement out of pocket even though the bad install caused the glass to break. Not only did I pay for the replacement glass, it took nearly 6 months to get the replacement glass installed! Customer ********************** is very poor! If I could choose zero stars I would! I would never trust any representative form this company. The tech who came out to our house to quote our repair listed multiple items needing repair or replacement including the sensors which were just replaced less than a year ago by this company. The quote was over $1500 for the repair. After further investigation, our system is under warranty and after calling *********** they sent us a new belt with no cost and multiple items installed by this company were still under warranty. Technicians were courteous and showed up on time. Had to ask for an estimate of repair work needed. Estimate seemed excessive ($1700 overhaul needed for 17 year old door) but I agreed to the work. After getting into the job agreed to and the parts were on the floor, the technicians found I needed a new motor ($1500!) installed and I was told that was the least expensive available. I called to get a tech out on a saturday and he was able to arrive in about an hour, and informed him that I had a broken spring that needed to be replaced... He agreed and informed me that the price was $399 a spring and he'd have to replace both.. I agreed and he went ahead and replaced the springs and rollers and a few other items and handed me a **** for about $2,800..
