The repair started out good. He said the door could be repaired, and the quote was around $1500. I asked the cost for a new door and was quoted $3500, so decided to have it repaired. I approved that expense then went inside my house while the door was worked on. Apparently, other parts were needed but the technician didn't ask for my approval and did the additional repair without approval (another $1500 or so in parts needed to fix the door). I hesitate to give any business a 1 because of the many qualified, professional people that make it up as a whole. However, I didn't get those technicians. I had several concerns about their knowledge of pricing, understanding of the product, etc. I called the manager to discuss this after receiving my invoice but advised this was not my main issue. The company was terrible at communicating with the customer. The company was negligent in installing the garage door. I needed to hire a separate person to repair and install the garage door correctly. Even after paying for the new garage door ahead of time, I did not receive any kind of correspondence regarding the improper installation. I would not recommend this company to anyone. My tech did his job. It when I called other companies I was well over priced on the parts by as much as 100%. When I called and asked the manager what his price on the parts were he said whatever the tech charges. Not acceptable. Will never use again. Paid way to much

My cable on my manual garage door got twisted. They fit me into the schedule in 2 hrs, which I appreciated, since the door was stuck halfway up. The tech was very nice, and professional in answering all my questions. He did tell me upfront that the charge would be $350 to realign the single door and get it to open and close easily. He did throw in the cost of the cable, which needed replacing. The job took him less than 30 minutes. I feel Elite charged way too much for this. I know the tech does not set the charges. The work was on time and completed in 20 minutes, replacing the broken springs. I was charged over $1200 for the job. I had rollers replaced too which was about $150. I have never paid more than $370 for broken spring replacement. Definitely way overpricing the job.

In mid-may my mother-in-law called Elite and they came out immediately. After that, she never heard from them. May 29, 2021, *** (I think that was his name) came out to repair the motor on the back gate. Long story short, the motor wasn't there. My father in law who passed away 5/23 (not long after they moved in their home) had initially been working with someone else and Elite didn't leave any paperwork. I should have looked at Yelp before hiring a contractor to install a new gate. But Elite (ironic name) was licensed, bonded and insured. So having bad luck with unlicensed contractors, it seemed like a good decision. What a mistake that was! I was told the gate would be ready after fabrication and installation. The sales manager promised me the gate would look exactly the same. So did the sales rep that came out to look at the old gate. He said it would be the same. Initially I was told that there would be a technician that would meet me on Monday morning. After taking the day off of work no one came. Then, I was promised someone would come on Wednesday and that they knew how to service the gate. They clearly didnt. After two phone calls no one ever said explained that their was a trip charge or diagnostic fee.
