Would not recommend Empire Moving Company. They outsource to a different moving company that does not even have a legitimate phone number listed, it is a fax number. We had two Russian guys come with a Ryder truck at 4pm in afternoon and we're there to 7:30 at Night.The truck was three quarters full & it ended up they couldn't even fit all our things on truck. They ended up tying our things on the back lift gate. Terrible!!!!!

In September 2021, I worked with **** and got a quote from Empire Moving Group LLC to move my household goods from Oklahoma to West Virginia on November 26th/27th (whichever worked for the driver). I paid the deposit in Oct and was told that customer service will contact me as the time drew closer. I called them again 3 days prior to pickup to make sure we were still on the same page, when I was told that I had to pack myself and the drivers' responsibility was to pick up and load the truck. This company is horrible! We told ***** ***** EXACTLY what we were needing to move, including measurements. He gave us their estimate. Three days before pick up, they checked in to go over the inventory and make changes. We were actually minus a recliner, end table and three boxes from the original inventory. Consumer alert, Buyer Beware!!! This company will take your money and refuse to refund any part of it because you did not cancel the service within the 72 hr window. There are red flags all over. The first one is they want 3 payments one to book, one to pay the movers at pick-up and the last one when the delivery is completed. They are brokers for this service. I was puzzled why Empire fictitiously lists other companies as the phone #s are the first lie. The yid at empires phone room wouldn't shut up. What's new! Couldn't answer questions truthfully. This is a company whose only assets are telephones. Only interested is how many"BENJAMINS" they can get from unsuspecting inquiries.. STAY AWAY!! The contract they publish is the last item that proves my point.
These people are ******** and liars. Do not use them for your move. They will intentionally under-quote you on your move, and the price will be doubled when the movers show up. Their customer service is awful and rude. I spoke with Jaylen and it was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. She's very condescending and has a terrible attitude. Find a better company to use, please.

Paid twice as much as initially negotiated due to gross underestimated cubic foot space needed. In addition, when placing the order, I was given a rate between 3 and 5 k. MAX. The end number was 8700. Never was I told price could/would exceed the 5k. Also, I scheduled the delivery date for Dec. 9th. I was told today that delivery is 1-28 days after pick- Up. Nowhere, in writing or verbally, was that conveyed to me. This firm needs to be put in jail.

Moving across country and if that isn't stressful enough using a moving company (Broker) like Empire Moving Group made it a nightmare. Please know that they are a Broker and yes they give you an estimate of the cost of move. As we were told they use their software to give you the best estimate, but they lead you to believe that the price to wrap your furniture, tv, mattresses is included. Beware it is not.
