In about ten years of moving around the country this was by far the worst experience. Empire are brokers. They won't tell you that when you call them. They purport themselves as a full service moving company. They will take your information over the phone without sending an estimator and will give you the quote of your dreams and assure you that they accept all forms of payment. Then the fun begins! Never trust them because they are a bunch of ***** who work for a company. Several weeks ago, a person from this company called me and started saying nice things about their company and their good points over the other moving companies. They promised me a certain delivery day and made me sign the contract immediately. The reason for which the dispatch department is unable to provide an estimated delivery date at this moment is that they currently do not have a route scheduled. Unlike UPS, FedEx, or USPS, long-distance moving does not have routes scheduled ahead of time. This is a high pressure company that demands that you sign everything immediately because accounting is waiting. They then estimate your space extremely low! They then want you to pay a lot more to fit the rest of your stuff. When we called to inquire why the square footage was so low they said it was our fault for not reading our contract. Rau away from this company. They are supposed to be here on Sunday. I sure hope they show up because we report to work on Thursday at the new location!

Worst company ever! It's a **** ppl do not, I repeat do not use this half ass company! I cancelled within 72 hours, they told me everything was cancelled and still took the money out of my account! Now nobody wants to answer any calls any more at all! They'll keep calling to get your money, once these crooks **** ** they will t answer anymore calls! Get ready for a lawsuit !!!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! We were left high and dry with two days left to move before closing. This was a long distance move. We scheduled far in advance. They will tell you step by step what will happen, only it doesn't actually happen. Gave a 3 day window. They called the night before the first day only. I had to call them each of the next 2 nights. Arrived four hours late for move. Raised price over $300. I had fewer boxes and no furniture so don't know how movers came up with this higher number. Different mover had boxes and was unable to get their truck into storage complex even though semis come in and out of there daily. So got charged an extra $160 for them to haul 21 items across the street. Stay away from moving brokers because you don't know what kind of incompetent people will actually be moving your stuff.

Worst ever! STOP DO NOT HIRE! THIS IS A ****. They quote low and then show up with a tiny truck and raise the price 4x what the broker quoted. Furniture never showed Extorted thousands of dollars from us to get a few pieces back. What we did get back was destroyed and broken. RUN RUN RUN ! WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES!

*Negative Five Stars This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a company in all of my 50-plus years. The sales guy, a shyster named *****, LIED through his teeth about what was actually in the contract. Empire is a Broker not a moving company as you are lead to believe! My own fault for not reading the reviews earlier! They low ball price and when ***tractor shows up to move you it is 3x's more than estimate! Whomever is responding to the negative reviews then you know you all are *** *******!
