Systematic & deliberate incompetence After 11 months months of frustration with Epos Now, here's my summary: If you have any problems and they don't offer a satisfactory response, complain once, then go straight to your Fair Trading/Better Business/Ombudsman. Epos Now won't respond so you won't get an outcome, but at least it's on file. Don't waste any more time trying to get a resolution directly from them, it won't happen. You'll need a solicitor. No support if something goes wrong. They have been pretty terrible with any and all instances of us reaching out. Their system went down quite regularly, we have been misled on a number of things including the cancellation fees. Additionally we have been ignored for all issues until the 3rd follow up.

Nightmare and expensive I purchased Epos Now in January 2022, and it’s been a frustrating journey ever since. They initially sent the wrong card terminal, which required customers to insert or swipe their cards—completely outdated since my customers use phones and watches to pay. On top of this, I was charged $160.60 a month (instead of the agreed $85.30), with additional fees for not using the incorrect card reader. Not Designed for Hospo, Keeps Freezing, Limited Functions This system has NOT been designed for use in hospitality. It is a retail system that they try to sell on to restaurants and cafes, so has limited functionality. It is so bad that even though I’m still paying for eposnow, I have purchased another system. It freezes regularly. The system is also unable to perform the most basic of functions, which means errors (and big disruptions to service) are guaranteed to occur in your venue if you use this system. Worst possible thing This is the worst possible os for restaurant. I am having so many issues and customer care has no clue of the issues. Their are huge discrepancies in payments and ithe system hangs up so frequently. Please don't buy this one. I am locked up for one year or have to pay up additional $900 apart from the initial 2k. Please don't fall prey to this company.

Poor customer support All started ok, but the transaction fees turned out to be very high and when we wanted to change the card machine we were not able to do so. Poor support in Australia when the system goes down. We waited our 1 year contract and tried to cancel. Avoid using system I closed my restaurant and i tried to cancel my EPOS System when I emailed their staff they sent me an email asking me to contact them. Then when I contacted them their staff said they should not solve problems. After that I tried to log in to my online account on EPOS system I figured out I must pay 755.70 for the cancellation for the Sofware license which they said was monthly bills and the countertop system Which I already paid in advance when I started my business. Please don't use Epos Now for your business During dealings with the company, I experience a lot of dishonesty, deceit and an absolute lack of customer care, causing me a lot of stress on top of my current business dealings. I was overcharged and lied to regarding a card reader that I obtained with the promise of a 1 fully free year use, only to be charged for the product upon receiving it. Navigating and tracking transactions with the system is a nightmare and I do not encourage anyone to use this product for their business... read more
