Had an appointment lined up at 1 pm . They no showed after I cleared my schedule and took off work .
The field representative ***** comes in and does a nice job but then says that his supervisor will be coming in to make sure that everything goes well. Supervisor **** comes over and they do a thorough inspection taking lots of pictures and everything actually seems well. I was happy at that moment that I brought the company in and was actually excited that I could get some resolution to my problem. However, thats where the positives stop. The salesman exaggerated that the shingles were literally sliding off, the roof beams were actively ambering inside the attics, and there's evidence of water leaks around the older style roof vents. We already had the roof inspected by two licensed inspectors before having Erie. We asked for a copy of his findings; he gave excuses. Erie Home targets seniors. I read numerous complaints and did the research. I am 68 on a fixed income. I have a mortgage. The sales ***resentative was at my home from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm. He cut some branches off trees around roof. He claimed I must sign that day and needed the work done now. He never apologized for monopolizing my time, (no meals) he never mentioned the three business day cancellation policy. Products and personnel they use are standard, and the cost was astronomical. I felt pressured into purchasing this roof. The materials looked great bit I'm not a roofer. I should have gotten other quotes and tried to finance at local bank because I am now paying $602 a month until $40,000 (way over priced) roof. I was also told if I put a positive comment on BBB I was receiving discounts which I did not recieve!! DO NOT HIRE ERIE to even put a roof on your dog house YOU WILL pay WAY TOO MUCH!
My Dad is 83 years old and had Erie roofing come to his house for a quote yesterday. They stayed there for 3 1/2 hours trying to make him buy there service by wearing him down.They way over pressured the sale and would not leave their quote of $75,000 with him, Every other quote we have is around $25K, They are way over priced and corner the buyer and pressure them into a deal right now. Extremely high pressure sales tactics. Salesman **** even insulted me when I didn't want to sign. Refused to leave me with the quote that they spent 2 hours pushing hard to sell. Guage was reasonable at least he didnt insult us. Looks like great product but I will never recommend a company that uses those tactics. Buyer beware.
They've been spam calling me between 2 and 5 times a day every day for the last week trying to get my business. I've blocked the number and they switched to a different one.
