ErieHome sent 2 salesmen to my parents home in January 2023. As the asking price was too high, my parents refused and tried thanking them for their time. Their first mistake was calling them and not doing their research on the reputation of this company and how they tend to pry on the elderly. Second, was letting them into their home. They refused to leave and started offering discount upon discount to my elderly immigrant parents. Roof is fine but they left a mess in my driveway. After two weeks someone finally came and got the remaining shingles but left all the other materials. The man who got the shingles said nobody is going to come for the other stuff. Now I have a big mess to clean up. Not very good customer service for paying almost $15,000.
This review would have been 4 stars but the lack of service and downright audacity this company has shown towards my wife and I earned them 1.(And Erie, you can save you copy and paste reply of 'please call so we can make things better'! Very poor costumer service, I was told it would take one day to complete the roofing. It took two and 1/2 days to complete the work. After Erie claimed it was complete, I checked the work. The original flashing was ripped off and not replaced, holes in the siding that was damaged is not caulked, lose shingle's that weren't installed correctly. I have called Erie over and over. Supposed to be only one loan but it's been month and we keep getting notice we were denied loans for roofing. Supposed to be under ****** but the loans said *******. They have ruined my credit it has dropped 50 points.
Had Erie out to the house. Two gentleman came to the house and spent well over 3 hours. We wanted them to look at the roof after a hail storm went through the area and figured, what the heck. Anyway, things started really nice and our salesman went into the attic. When he emerged the other gentlemen joined. BEWARE.......OVERCHARGING ELDERY (mom 83) for a ROOF w/interest and monthly payments time when said and done cost would have been $48,500 for a simple roof with normal pitch and 2400 square feet.Original price of roof quoted around $24,000 which is 3 times than normal roof pricing. We live in central *********. Two sales people came out and wasted 2-1/2 hours of my time. They went up on the roof and took pictures. They also went in the attic and took pictures. The pictures from the attic show deteriorated decking. After a long pushy ordeal they called their boss three times and gave us three different quotes. None in writing.
