My husband and I was scammed by Erie Construction Mid-West, plus the sales representative stole $4000 we put down as a down payment. We have tried my times to handle with company and they have ignored us. We have the canceled check where the check was cash. Then they signed us up with *************** Please do not use *************** you will only paid the interest on the loan and never the principal, that should be unlawful. I only give it 1 star rating because I had too!
Update on my first review dated back on 3/14/24. After job was completed, received calls from two different people, one asking how things turned out and the other the same thing but then reminded me to give them a review. On one of the calls, I told them about some chaulking that was found on some of the skylights and he stated that they would send someone over to clean it up, no one showed. Well, it would be nice if they stood by their word!! The roof they done has NO drip edge! The gutter guards we given for " free " as a part of a discount... was never installed, not even a week after they finished, the roof was leaking AGAIN! The entire reason we hired them was to FIX THE LEAKING ROOF!!! The only thing that kept us from giving Erie Construction five stars was the installation crew. They were on time and did an excellent job installing our fiberglass roof, but none of them spoke English. The supervisor was mostly absent, so if we had a question or a problem, we wouldn't have been able to communicate with any of them. I am wondering if these workers are here legally, a reasonable thing to wonder about, given the present crisis at our border.
Made an appointment three times with them to give us an estimate and three times they canceled. Not interested in doing business with them ever.
Salesmen were knocking door to door for roof estimates. Needless to say I said yes. The loan agreement was for 9% financing. My roof is very small and basic. I was supposed to get a military discount. They quoted me at $23,000. The roof warranty was supposed to be somewhere around over 30 years. My loan comes out to be $50,000. That is utterly ridiculous. Beware! I had them come out to give me a quote for my single story, asphalt roof. He brought an entire presentation with video and samples. For 2+ hours, he "educated me" on why I needed a new roof. Several times during his presentation, I let him know that I knew I needed a roof and just wanted him to give me a quote. This did not sway him from his presentation. Bought a tub from them in 2010 and then put a roof on in 2014. At the time of the roof I inquired about maintenance for the tub. They promised to have someone contact me and no one did. My fault I tried to just let it go. This year I called again to try to get maintenance on the tub, with very little to no help.
