Like so many others, I keep receiving menacing letters, to scare me into thinking I need some kind of an insurance for my car! Somehow they know which car I have and put a picture of it, making it all look as if the thing came from the car maker. I have called them numerous times to ask to remove me from their mailing list but they keep sending me these "Time Sensitive" letters telling me "our records indicate that you have not contacted us regarding the service contract on your vehicle".This is harassment and a scam!! The business, Evercare Direct, mysteriously somehow obtained my personal information. After multiple requests, I asked them to remove me from their list many times . The car they have my personal information connected to. I do not own the said vehicle. I just had the worst experience with a customer support person named ****** . I called to cancel my membership so I was transferred to customer support (******) . He first got my information and I told him I was calling to cancel my membership, he asked why and I first told him I changed my mind, he went into why my decision to cancel would cost me, so he went on and on . I received calls and marketing mail repeatedly and repeatedly requested to have my ************** information removed from this companys contact list to no avail. Just today I received another letter worded in a way to attempt a false sense of urgency. Wording such as time sensitive, in all caps and bolded THIS LETTER IS TO INFORM YOU , our records indicate you HAVE NOT CONTACTED, and then bolded Financially ************* before [date]. I got a scary-looking letter in the mail from this company which did NOT identify itself but whose telephone number is listed here.This is a scam, pure and simple. I would never do business with this company. It should be shut down for fraud.

LITERALLY A SCAM. These a*holes are sending out pseudo garbage after what I'd say is ILLEGALLY accessing our private information in order to make you think that you need to pay them more money for a car warranty -- that they NEVER HAD ANY PART OF in the first place. These people need to not only be shut down, but FINED - HEAVILY.
Deceptive advertising. Letter received is crafted to make believe it is from *************. The choice of vocabulary (financially liable, neglecting to activate).
The government should probably close Evercare down. But they probably wont because its lawyers are careful to walk the line but not cross it. Here is what they do: send a car owner a letter warning that their warranty is about to expire if they dont extend. They do everything possible to make it appear that the letter is coming from the vehicles manufacturer. They do this to make the letter appear more legitimate than it really is.
