Horrible hotel stayed in the studio had nothing to cook with even though there was a stove and microwave they're not even one glass or any utensils not even paper towels they charge me extra for a studio room but did not provide any of the amenities

Business response:

I appreciate you taking the time to write a review of your experience with us. I am sorry to hear that we did not do a good job making you aware of all of the amenities that we have available. We currently keep all of our kitchen supplies in sanitary tubs for cleanliness reasons, but they are available on demand. In response to your feedback, I am discussing with our staff they need to do a better job communicating this. I really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to ... read more

Ok in a pinch In a pinch, it met our needs and budget for a night. I couldn't see staying here more than that, despite the namesake. The positives- The staff were friendly and accommodating. Location was decent as it took only a few minutes to drive to downtown Asheville. The negatives- Our room was a little dated and it had an odor of smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. Coffee urns were continually empty and nothing was out for breakfast the morning of our stay, even after 8am.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay. I am sorry to hear that there was an odor in your room and that coffee was not readily available. Your comments were reviewed by the staff, and we will make sure your experience is not repeated. Our team is committed to satisfying our guests, so we are very thankful for your feedback. If you have any additional feedback, we would like to hear it. We would love to have another chance to provide you with a better experience the next time you're in town.

Huge disappointment Very disapponted in the accomodations. Over $500 for 2 nights for this property is insanely over priced. $50 to $75 per night would be more appropriate. No wifi, no plates or utensils in the room, no hair dryer, no pool no workout facility. Front desk clerks seemed unapologetic with anything they couldn't deliver and that was a lot they couldn't deliver I travel a lot and I stay in a lot of different hotels. This hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed in.

Business response:

I received a copy of your review, and wanted to take a moment to personally respond. We strive to provide guests with all the comforts of home, so I am disappointed to hear that the procedure for receiving sanitized dishes was not explained. As this hotel’s manager, I can assure you that I have explained to my employees the importance of explaining to guests, to ensure your experience is not repeated. Thanks to your feedback, we can continue to work on providing an exceptional stay for all of our guests. We hope that you wil... read more

Disgusting The room smelled horrible. The bathroom smelled like body odor. There appeared to be a bloody handprint on the side of the room chair. It was probably coffee, but the whole experience felt like I was in a horror movie. I could only bear to be in the room a few minutes. I walked out with my belongings.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay. I sincerely apologize that the room had an odor and that it did not meet our cleanliness standards. To prevent this from happening again, our team is going to contact the front desk with any odor issues they find in a room when servicing it so that we can take the appropriate measures. Thank you for choosing Extended Stay Hotels. We hope we have the opportunity to see you again in the future.

Bad experience for 160.00 a night I paid 160.00 for a one night stay in the Extended Stay America in Downtown Asheville. Upon arrival, the front door was locked @ 1020 PM. The entrance said dial zero for entry, however, there was no phone to dial zero from. No one was @ the front desk, because the front desk clerk was having to wash laundry. Thankfully someone staying @ the hotel let us in using their badge. We were standing there loaded down with luggage and couldn't get in. Then upon check in, we discover the breakfast inc... read more

Typical long stay hotel - downsides: (1) Across the street from the Mountainview Motel that has regular gun fights related to meth cooking; (2) very creepy hispanic guys that follow you down the hall, stand behind you as you go into your room, and generally trying to scare you; (3) Itching all over after the night. Biker bar around the corner - get the picture?

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you incurred during your stay with us. We hope your experience will not discourage you from staying with our brand in the future. Thank you again for writing a review of your stay.

Horrible I WISH I could have gotten at least some money back. It wreaked of weed. I'm pregnant and have an almost 2 year old, so that's a no no. Let's talk about the room - at first I was like hm this is nice. WRONG. There were like 9 channels on the tv. That sucks haha. Then I started unpacking. Bugs all over the counter. The AC unit. The window sill. THE BED. I checked in around 5-530 and I was out of there by 9. I wasn't even there 5 hours. Then, I went to turn my keys into front desk. Myself and another group were waitin... read more

No room at the inn. We arrived at 1am on the Friday of Easter weekend to find that they'd overbooked and our pre-paid room was not available. Hotels had no rooms left at all so we had to hunt around in the early hours of the morning for another place to stay. There was only a service lady on duty, so no one to get a refund from or complain to. Apparently we were the third booking she'd turned away. Disgraceful service from what would claim to be a reasonable hotel. Book it, but it seems to be first come, first served as to w... read more
