Room smelled like mildew. Very dirty bugs! Do not stay here!

Reception staff needs work, a lot of work! After a 10 hr drive to visit family for the services of my father's passing, I arrived just after 11pm to check into my prepaid reservation for a room with 2 double/full size beds for my adult son and I. Little to my dismay I'm informed that they are all out of 2 double rooms so they will have to put me in a single. Dirty condoms and sex toys. Manager didn't care. Dirty condoms and sex toys left in the room from previous guest. Manager disorganized and "couldn't find" the vouchers for the compensation nights due to the disgusting conditions in my room. I've called ESA's customer service #, and tried to reach this hotel directly...still no vouchers "being mailed" to my house... liars.
This hotel desperately needs an upgrade. We reserved a double room, but they were overbooked, and only had singles left. Staff was very pleasant and as accommodating as possible, but the facilities were not up to par. The first room we were given smelled of stale cigarettes and cat urine. The second room smelled better, but was still in need of a deep clean at worst, or a remodel at best.

A Terrible Experience We drove almost seven and a half hours to get there from NJ. We called on the way to let them know we would be checking in around 11:45pm or so. We were told to call around 11 to let them know an approximate time. We called at 11:15 to find out they were overbooked and had no room for us. We arrived to the hotel and checked in. When we reached the room and opened the door. We found the room in complete disarray. The mattress and box spring was off the bed frame, the furniture was thrown around the room, the pictures were removed from the wall. there was a trash bag full linens not sure if they were dirty or clean. When arriving to check in to this location we were told that the hotel was understaffed and would not have our double room available until 9pm (check-in was at 3pm) When I asked if we could have a different room to use until the room we booked was available the frond desk lady refused. After traveling all day the hotel should have been more accommodating to their customers since the mistake was made by them.
