Great Expectations Deflated This hotel was difficult to find and not easy to get to. Breakfast was extremely limited; I wouldn't even call it Continental. It was supposed to be "smoke free", but someone was smoking something on the 3rd floor every night. No receipt upon checking out. The clerk seemed somewhat disoriented, claimed he had changed the password in the computer but couldn't remember what it was. His response was, "I'll email it to you Dude. What's your email address?" Stayed for 4 nights to attend a wedding. Had trouble finding the hotel on our first attempt. Address is not on GPS. Staff is aware and they had to give us the neighbors address. Aircon in our room was not working well. We were transferred right away as soon as we informed the staff. Staff is great.

The motel 6 of residential motels. Booked that day for an easy drive to the airport for my flight the next morning. It turned out to be in a very nice neighborhood. That turned out to be the only good part. The staff seemed disinterested in their jobs. The hotel was tired. The room was not clean, the kitchen floor was sticky. The bathroom was right by the door, and the lack of insulation meant that you could hear everything while on the toilet, and everyone in the hall could hear you too. Rooms not clean Rooms were not cleaned: Visible hairs in bed and bathroom upon arrival. Miltiple rug stained locations in room. Low cost hotel but should at least have provided a clean room. Would avoid again with other local hotels or suite type hotels in similar price range.

If you're concerned about safety, go elsewhere. First, should explain that I am a police officer in the civilian world and I'm also an Army Reservist. When in that capacity, I am in an antiterrorism/force protection role. That being said, I tend to notice and/or think of things many people don't. I stayed here on 3/7 and noticed that the west exterior door was broken. Normally, this door requires your room card for access. Don't plan on Extending your Stay Front desk person was very friendly and helpful. Suppose to have a fully stocked kitchen and there wasn't a dish, cup or fork to be found. All cabinets and drawers were completely empty. Bottle cap on the floor sitting in the middle of the room (I didn't have bottled anything with me) 2 stray hairs found on pillow Fridge was disgusting and dirty inside & out.

Not great but not terrible The room was pretty beat up and not very clean. I had to remove a nasty "love" stained comforter from the bed. The staff, however was super friendly and the hotel was in a nice location. Had problems with vending machines, recliner in room was broken and hotel double charged me. I will stay there again because of the price and location. Also, the bed was very comfortable.

probably the worst choice for Chicago Sour unfriendly faces at the reception, when looking at Internet photos of the hotel, it looks elegant and old fashioned like the Titanic. When you get there it looks as if you walk into the Titanic after it already sank and 100 years passed.
