Concerned with Changes We like this place, but some things have changed since our last stay a few months ago. Three different staff members parking in the handicap during various shifts, front desk not very friendly this time and staff by on their phones or with headphones on in the office and adjacent sitting area - as if they are bored. Trash at the back door never changed over the weekend - just piled up higher, and it was full when we arrived Friday at 3 PM. the pictures are definitely decieving. It is close to the Plaza but that’s about all that it has going for it. Smoke detectors hanging from the ceiling, for being a non smoking room it smelled like smoke.

Convenient to Country Club PlAza We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now over the past couple of years. Unfortunately each time we have stayed, we have noted that our first time was the best. What used to be a very nice free continental breakfast has now turned into only coffee, hot water, & granola bars, that is put away at 9 am. So that was disappointing. Their website indicates that there is a fully equipped kitchen WITH "coffee maker, cooking utensils, dishes and cutlery". None of these items were existent in our room.... read more

Pet Friendly The hotel is near the plaza with some night views of Christmas lights. Beds are new and pillows good. We had our puppy with us and the hardwood floor and side exit were good for his care. Staff was very helpful and went beyond duty in make us feel welcome.

Compared this to the Holiday Inn next door Paid 127.00 for one night, the weekend before Christmas, 2017. For the money, nice staff and nice room compared to the other nearby hotels that were charging 200-350.00 for one night. The bed mattress was fine, but could use better/warmer linens. Bathroom was nice with good lighting and sufficient towels. Very close to the Plaza and I prefer this hotel instead of the Holiday Inn next door.
