The property appeared to be in a run down condition. The elevator made a number of loud noises and jerked both ascending and descending. The emergency telephone was missing. My room key didn't work and I had to return to the office twice before I received a card key that worked. Perhaps under normal circumstances this wouldn't be any big deal, but I am disabled and it is difficult for me to spend time on my feet. I'm not sure when your stay was, but you may be reviewing the wrong hotel. No shingle/roof work has been done at this property in the Month I have managed it. We are under new management at the Extended Stay America Lubbock location and I apologize if your experience was at this location, for your stay comments do not reflect well. Won't stay there again for sure , terrible experience nit what I was expecting, smell nasty ,not quiet ,very uncomfortable bed

I'm not one to say a place is bad especially being prior military, but this was one of the worst places I've stayed in. Room had a terrible odor, bathroom was a mess, dirt in the bathtub, poop stains in the toilet. Shower didn't even work so we had to take baths. The carpet looked like it hadn't even been vacuumed. Thank God we brought extra blankets because there was dirt in the bed when we pulled off the top blanket telling me that nothing had been cleaned. After I parked and walked up to the hotel, the first thing I saw was that the smoking area was right in front of the entrance and there were around 8 people there. I immediately started having an asthma attack as I made it into the hotel. The interior of the hotel smelled like mold and cigarettes. The one employee there was very friendly and got me checked in quickly. When I made it to my room I smelled men's cologne and cigarette smoke. When I arrived I went into my first room and it was not even close to being clean. Picture this, unmade bead, food everywhere, the fridge was full of garbage, smelled, toilet paper on the floor, leaves and mud on the floor. I got switched into another room and after my first experience, I did not feel comfortable to sleep in my bead. The front desk person seemed annoyed that I had to switch rooms. I have stayed at a few Extended Stay's in Texas. This is by far the worst. The trip started by us being on the 3rd floor - with the elevator not working! There was only hot water at one time during our stay. The temperature in the refrigerator was almost cool, but not quite. My food was ruined. Then the free breakfast was a few granola bars (no choices) and coffee.

The room had peeling laminate and the bathroom had hairs on the counter and in the bath tub. The breakfast consist of packaged muffins and breakfast bars and coffee.
