Oakland/Emeryville 8/07/18 Booked last minute, price was extremely competitive: most affordable for the area. Hotel NOT located in a desirable area (e.g., homeless encampment within walking distance) but property was in good shape. The entire hotel--including the parking lot--was gated/accessible only by room key or calling front desk. Room was simple but clean. 1st time business trip Overall the establishment was fine for a 1 nighter, or possibly a couple nights if needed. However, the sink was dirty upon arrival with crumbs all over the bowl of the sink, and the shower lever kept falling down towards the hot side (had to balance lever at the top to keep it from falling to 1 side). Location is just on the border of nice, and not nice at all, that would explain the full perimeter gate around the property. For the area, it was less expensive. It was close by shops and restaurants. Parking rates were inexpensive. (You would not want to walk due to bad neighborhoods) High police presence in area. The Target had a very high concentration of security. The property is surrounded by heavy duty fence and security cameras. Your car is safe in the lot. The property is in need of renovation as you can see evidence of vandalism.

It was a nice hotel that is close to Shopping, Freeway Access, and BART.

Close to where we need to go next to target and Panera, but bathroom wasn’t clean, hair in shower, blankets (red or orange) on bed wasn’t clean, I don’t think they get washed

The room they gave me smelled like Urine, went to tell the front desk and they gave me a new room. I have stayed in this hotel before, it was better kept, this time seemed dirty over all.
