Inexpensive, but terrible night's sleep The staff people were super friendly and helpful, and the hotel was relatively clean. The problem was the actual room. The room was very stark and not comfortably decorated -- it felt institutional. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the bedding was not very comfy. Convenient but not clean Room didn't feel clean. When we checked in, there was a plastic shopping bag tied up around the smoke detector on the ceiling. The kitchenette area had food remnants in the drain. The room REEKED of some type garlic/onion/teriyaki food. I'm guessing that's why the smoke detector was covered. I would have thought 'housekeeping' might have noticed that bag tied up there and removed it before we checked in. Makes me wonder what else was 'overlooked' in the cleaning process....? Turned off customer The hotel is old looking. The halls smell like a bunch of smoke. The guest were very loud in the hallway. There was a bunch of young kids staying and was in the hallways all throughout the night. My husband and I had several pieces of hair (not ours) throughout the bed. I was totally disgusted.The ceiling in the bathroom was cracked up. I will never stay here again. I guess you get what you pay for.

our entire stay was plagued with construction our entire stay was during the time when they were putting on a new roof. this created constant noise, lack of parking, blocked entrances/exits, and an overall terrible stay. the staff could have let us know in advance there would be construction going on. dump trucks, hammering, and shouting lasted throughout the day sometimes until 9 at night. unacceptable and made for a terrible stay
Went to use the bathroom, toilet overflowed everywhere. Just walked in!! Took forever to get moved to another room. I guess you get what you pay for.
The management of this hotel is terrible. I specifically requested a double room, because I have children. No double room was made available despite repeated promises. This is routine practice - they are routinely overbooked
Terrible experience I reserved a nonsmoking room but ended up with a smoking room. The stench was so strong I couldn't sleep for most of the night. Terrible experience. Will not stay here again ever.

Do not believe the "free breakfast" !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not much good to say about this hotel -- First, the location of the hotel is in the industrial section of Carnegie. I can't fault the hotel for this fact, and they don't advertise otherwise -- I just want to make sure people are aware of this. Just a strange place to locate a hotel. After checking in, we find out there's only one rollaway bed in the entire hotel, which was already being used. So, we had to fit 3 people onto 2 double beds. Not good. Hotel over booked Didn't get to stay here. Hotel was over booked upon arrival to check in. Was sent down the street to a motel instead. Very disappointed.
