After we checked in, we never saw the front office staff again for the rest of the weekend (or any staff, for that matter). The element was broken/removed from the stove. There was no coffee maker in the room nor any place within the hotel to get coffee. There was a very peculiar odor in the room that remained the duration of our stay and that was the smallest double bed I’ve seen in my 18 years of weekly travel for work. ad we only paid $40, the above might have been expected/accepted, but we paid over $100. When I got to my room I pulled the comforter back to just expose the sheets. Right there, in the bottom sheet was a blood stain. I went down stairs and told the lady working what I found and asked for another sheet. She went to get it but when she came back, there wasn’t “oh my gosh, I am sorry” or a “let me get housekeeping to change that for you”. It was simply a “here you go”. It had no blankets, no soap or no shampoo. Half the outlets didn’t work and there was no tv remote.

The building and room had a bad smell to it. Not super clean. Very basic beds and furniture.
