Very Disappointing This was a real disappointment. Staff was rarely near the front desk (probably short staffed, it is a difficult time... so forgiven). The room smelled musky -- mostly from the air conditioner. It felt unhealthy to breathe it. Slept with the windows open to actually air out the room. Overpriced for the quality of stay. I would expect to pay 1/2 of what I did for this type of room.

Nice front desk staff but overall terrible condition. Lot of noise and some people openly smoke in their rooms and the smell oozes to every corner! No room service or cleaning service!

Had some up and had some downs I paid with Hotels.com points. This payment didnt register at Extended Stay during check-in because the hotels.com charge card was declined. I had to pay out of pocket to secure the room as no one was available from Hotels.com to sort this out. This is a Hotels.com failure - not Extended Stay. I am awaiting the out of pocket refund from Extended Stay and I am sure that it will come - they were very helpful staff at the hotel. In terms of Extended Stay feedback, the place could have been a bit n... read more

Buyer beware My recent experience at Extended Stay America in Shelton,Ct was more bitter than sweet. I will say the staff is very friendly ,and proactive but the smell of marijuana wafting into my room ,and in the stairways as well as some of the unsavory characters has definitely jaded my opinion of Extended Stay. This is a smoke free hotel. The look of the room was ok except for the stains on the rug and the hair in the shower. The noise at night made getting a restful night difficult.Be it dogs barking ,because pets are al... read more

For some reason when I got there my reservation have been canceled even though I had a confirmation number. The guy working at the desk didn’t wanna be bothered or lift a finger to help me. He had a terrible attitude.

Dirty sheets The place is just fine upon entering. The room was a decent size with a full kitchen. I discovered after I had been there a couple hours that there were huge dust bunnies behind the night stand. I had flown a red eye the night before and was on very little sleep. When I pulled back the covers I found a piece of a potato chip, leading me to believe the sheets had never been changed from the last person who stayed there. I was too tired and delirious to call and go through the hassle of getting a clean room. There... read more

Bathroom sink pipes start to make loud sounds and shake like they're being hammered when the old water is opened to less than half of full strength 1 tiny bottle of shampoo and just 1 bar of soap for a couple staying for 2 nights. instead of changing sheets and cleaning room on a daily basis, there are done after customer checks out Awkward setup: bed is placed too close to side wall, which has a huge painting hanging from it. just one night table. You don't find about the "grab and go" breakfast when making the online reser... read more

Not impressed and old/smelly The room was “ok”. Lighting was much too bright. The hallways are smelling smoke like hell and it looks old and not very fresh… expensive compared to other hotels around that are much better. Same price as the Best Western New Haven/West Haven, but quality far from being the same!
