So very last minute I needed a place to store my things over the summer. Extra Storage Space were super helpful from the start. They had somebody come by that very day and pick me and my stuff up.Ron even made two trips to take all the boxes that I needed to be stored. Ron was very patient with me as were all the employees throughout the entire process. What could have been very stressful was easy and stress free. Good prices, GREAT hours (open until 9pm or 10pm, can't remember which but everybody else closes at 6). They've been jacking the rent a bit lately because they installed elevators... that's kind of annoying. The latest rent hike they forgot to mail me a notice 30 days in advance, which pissed me off; that's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars.

I had read the good reviews so I decided to check it out--it is great! They called me twice: to Welcome me & to Confirm with me. Signing up online was a breeze. Walking in was also great :) They were busy with many customers, but they had excellent customer service and they helped me in a timely fashion. These types of qualities are nearly impossible to find in Berkeley businesses. I almost went to another storage place but this place is hands-down cheaper and cleaner. Wow! How refreshing to experience such warm, friendly, professional customer service!!!!! I was impressed by the entire staff. From the moment we entered the lobby... smiles, eye contact, a greeting and introduction. We got personal service that surpassed my expectations ... The manager here, Ron, transfered from their facility that I use in Alameda...and I miss him! I have been an Extra Space Storage customer for 7 years and Ron always went above and beyond in Customer Service. He is professional, curteous, and has gone out of his way to help me on more than one occasion. He has given personal attention to detail that I appreciate. Alameda's loss is Berkeley's gain :)

We were in and out of this place lightning fast. The customer service was way better than other storage places, and the manager/owner greeted us personally. Very easy to access and not as crowded as other places in town. Again we were suprised at the great customer service, they even talked us down to a smaller unit for less money, and all our stuff fit in perfectly.

the prices are great (superbly cheap), and the site facilities are decent and seemingly secure. the cancellation of storage with 7 days advance notice is convenient. one thing that bothered me tremendously is how super slow the customer service is in the office/at the counter. the staff there just seem to move at glacial speed. also the access hours tend to be during normal business hours. it would be great if somehow it could be accessible for more hours, perhaps well into the night.

They just renovated and it looks great! Very decent prices for a good amount of space. The staff is always nice and friendly and helpful and usally recognize you, even if you haven't been there in a couple of months. I really, really like the cheap prices for storing your stuff!
