Raised rent without notification, lost important and sentimental items with a break in and now I understand there was another break in. Almost have to believe it was an inside job since I was never notified the first time my unit was broken into. Someone had plenty of time to cut my lock, ransack the unit, carefully taking out anything of value and then put another lock on. Yelp really needs to provide negative scores.

NEVER GO HERE!! they will raise the rates like crazy every month and not tell you and then shame you for being confused about it

NEVER go here. TERRIBLE experience. They doubled the price without much notice, then they were very combative about it. I cancelled, wanted to make sure that I'd get pro rated / refunded. They were EXTREMELY rude and combative the whole time. They ended up charging me $20 extra at the time, saying I'd be refunded. They rushed me out the door, didn't mention anything, then the next day I was billed $94 AGAIN only one week after my previous $94 payment & the $20 I paid to prorate. This company scams its customers. They will charge you one price and then very quickly double it and continue to increase the price until you leave. Their reasoning makes no sense and they justify it by saying that you signed on stating that you understand they can do this. As other customers said they bait and switch. Additionally mice chewed through alot of our belongings. Dont rent here unless you plan to move out of here after 4-6 months.

Berkeley cedar branch has the worst manager ever, the lady manger who was working the shift on Friday December 20 2024 at about 4:30pm was not helpful and she's so incompetent. I wanted to transfer my things to a smaller unit that's half the size and she was giving me a rate that's only a dollar less than what I'm paying. It seems like she didn't want the extra work for her if I transfer my unit so she gave me a bad price. This place is the worst place I have ever seen or tried for storage. I paid for a month and have a credit with them (because they don't do ethical business) but I got all of my stored items out of that filthy place within a few weeks and moved it to a much much better storage facility. No one from the company has contacted me despite me giving very clear poor feedback to them about how lousy my experience with this company was. Save yourself $$$ in the long run and STAY AWAY! Predatory! A 70% rent increase in 30 days cannot be a market value adjustment. Clearly, a business tactic to get people all moved in and then almost double the rent. The overwhelmingly positive Google reviews are a scam. Do some digging. I wish I had.

This place was a dream with Vianney as the manager. Since she has been on leave, the experience took a nosedive with the new interim manager. THey are like night and day. Vianney was always pleasant and super helpful and patient, the new manager is rude, impatient, and couldn't care less. I'm really sorry this is happening because I literally stayed on even though they raised my rent. I would have switched to another place if it had not been for Vianney. Raised my rate from ~$79 to ~$122 just a couple of months after moving in. Of course I'm out of town now and can't move my stuff. There should be a law against this.
