This was my second time at Fire and Ice on Berkley street awesome place service was on time my table was ready once I arrived guess I caught them on a good night because the first time the wait was mad long.
I put a new sauce in my food and it was extremely salty. I couldn't believe it and I didn't have time to go back to get more unseasoned food cooked to balance it out. This is the first time I've had this happen at a flattop place, and I will never try that sauce again. It was deplorable.
wasn't a good idea visit this restaurant for an Special ocacion !! Because to much noise very regular and comun people eating, but the whorse was when we all ask for water and the server said that they don't have it!! after. That the cooker made my food and he never asked for my deessing when i put it in front of my plate, very bad actitud when i asked him . I wasn't happy on my stay ...
It is not my type of restaurant.
This place is awful if you are looking for a place to have dinner with friends, be able to chat and have a good time. because it will be so loud in there due to all the kids that frequent the restaurant as part of field trips. Plus the loud music that's blasting and you can't barely hear the person next to you. The waitress is so fed up with all the kids there that customer service does not exist. I've heard many good things about this restaurant from friends and coworkers. I figured it'd be a fun experience for a birthday so I dragged all my friends in from the suburbs to the city to experience it. From a party of 11 being forced to wait in sweltering heat, clogging up the lobby for nearly an HOUR because they refused to seat us until our whole party was there, to the fact that it was UNBEARABLY hot to the point where we had a hard time eating (which is the point of a restaurant, I thought?) to one person in my party... read more
Lots of food was out at the buffet section Disappointed brought friends told them it was fun. Was not that busy either, not sure what was going on
We were very disappointed with our experience at Fire and Ice. We made a reservation for our party of 12 two weeks in advance. They called the day before to let us know that if we weren't there within 15 minutes of the reservation, they would let go of our table. We were early and they did not seat us until 30 minutes after our reservation time. The waiter let us know that the air condition was broken for nearly a week! It was extremely hot and uncomfortable. I have been to Fire & Ice at least 10 times over the years, most recently on June 29th. I was very, very disappointed though as the quality has diminished and the place was severely overcrowded. The trays of seafood and meats were not replenished in a timely manner and the wait to even get close to the grill was overwhelming .
