Everyone I was in contact with at First Call was wonderful. I needed to schedule a furnace tune up as well as get heating oil for my tank. First Call scheduled a meeting for the same week with two separate people coming out with a window of 9am-12am. I was pleasantly surprised then when at 9:01am I got a knock on the door for the guy to fill the tank! He was courteous and speedy. I called first call after De Temple failure, one year changing pieces of our Lochinvar boiler that works randomly no matter what they did. We wanted to install a new system and forget about Lochinvar. They gave us a deal at not charge to find what the problem was, involving a representative of Lochinvar. Unfortunately they couldn't fix it. I think that they did their best, gave us a good service and kept the promise of no charge if they can not make the boiler work. With a special thank you to the heat people. He walked is through it. It was a tube from fan to the a small diaphragm. It was stuck. I called and thanked them so much. I recommend this company to anyone in need of new or just not working. They truly are there to help you understand. Biggest thank you on the coldest day of the year thus far.
As a first time home owner, I'm anxious about things like this yet they made me feel very good about taking care of furnace problems. They deserve every star in my review because they saved me hundreds of dollars working with me with what turned out to be a simple problem with my heater. Even though there was some confusion, I still think they handled things very well considering it was the coldest day of the season so far. Excellent customer service!!! My furnace would not fire up with the start of winter. Due to the icy weather we're having today they didn't have enough crew/staff to get to me right away-- however, They did spend a great deal of time with me on the phone walking me through what to do to get my furnace up and working. And by golly it worked! So, the next time I need HVAC assistance these will be the guys I call!
As a property manager and realtor, I deal with dozens of furnace repairs and replacements a year and with more than 10years in the business I feel like I've worked with just about everyone and I cannot recommend these folks more highly. Two years ago we had Eastside service our furnace. The repair tech made a note about a part that could potentially go bad in the future. Eastside also installed our air conditioning a year or so later. Last week our furnace stopped working when it was bitter cold. They squeezed us in last minute and even showed up early. They checked the furnace and thought it just needed cleaned. But next morning, no heat again. We've been using First Call for years. They sort of came with our house when we bought it, and we kept them on as our oil tank filler of choice. They did a good job of inspecting our furnace when we moved in, and showed us the ins and outs of owning a 1950's model oil furnace. The only time we had to call them for oil was when we ran out of oil on New Year's Day after some fairly heavy usage, and they showed up the next day to fill the tank.
