Get directionsWe reserved a car for a week in *******. A new Jeep Cherokee. On the second day, the car would not start and it took hours to get roadside assistance. We were stranded and the contact number left us on hold for hours. It was so upsetting- go with a national company with a live roadside assistance feature.

Zero Stars!!!Terrible experience. Bait and switch for sure!! I rented a mid-size sedan and was offered an upgrade for a small **** I declined to take the **** When I got the receipt it was about $150 more because it was supposedly the security deposit. When I asked why security deposit wasn't separated out response was that's just the way we do it. Lots of people in line behind me so I left it at that. I had a terrible experience renting a car from Fox Car Rental LAX. I misplaced the key. They told me they had no copies of the key and wanted to charge me $450 to have the key replace the fob. I became aware that it was a scam when they would not let me pay electronically for the charges, they said I had to give them my credit card number over the phone. I am very sorry for your experience, a lost key will require payment for a key charge but this is typically done on the card you had on file. If your card on file could not be run for the rekey charge, our accounting department would request payment by phone. As there would not be an electornic payment for an additional charge like this, this would be done by phone but you would, of course, receive an invoice for the charge. Thank you.
Shady business practices and dishonest!! I went through a check in process where the agent verbally explained that they offer a Plate Pass option for tolls. He explained that you do not get charged unless you go through tolls. I set my navigation settings to avoid toll roads. I was charged a DAILY RATE times 6 days for a Plate Pass upon return of the vehicle.Additionally, I was offer liability coverage that I DECLINED. If I could give them a negative number I would. We made our reservation a month in advance. When we went to pick up our car they said it had been cancelled online an hour before we got there. We were in the air at that time!! We did not cancel it. Absolutely horrible and a total scam.I'd give zero stars if possible. Fox is a total scam. A complete scam. Worst car rental experience we've ever had and we travel quite frequently. We had a reservation made directly through the Fox Website for a ****** 4 Runner for $231.38 and paid the extra $19.99 to not have to stand in line upon arrival. Booked the car through Expedia stating my arrival time and got to their location on time. Had to wait 50 minutes for the *** to be washed, but remained patient.
