I am such a fan of Gabb Wireless. I love that it is teaching my child (well, really…children as our second child is now a Gabb-er!) responsible use of a phone without the distracting and damaging use of social media and internet access at an age where they’re still developing physically, mentally, and emotionally. Great job, Gabb. Also, side bonus, since this phone isn’t tampered down by always try to fuel a data-driven cell plan, my child often has a signal where we do not!
I had previously posted a review describing the problems with location tracking lagging significantly. The Gabb team has patiently worked with me to troubleshoot and eventually replace the two watches I got. The new ones are doing well on location tracking. The app still needs UX/UI improvements but I’m glad to have tracking fixed.

I love Gabb! I first bought my granddaughter her first phone years ago then bought my 10 year old grandson the Gabb watch. We have been very happy with Gabb and their support team as well. Michel (Nana)

I got the Gabb watch first for my son in 5th grade so we could stay in contact when my kids stayed home while I ran short errands. I specifically did not want to give him a phone with social media or a camera. This little watch has been amazing. My son loves it and it is so convenient to be able to get in touch with him, it has held up really well over time. I just purchased a second watch for my daughter for Christmas.

One thing could make Gabb better. Location updating is really slow. Note to company: I wish you’d create a widget or icon that has the device’s battery level on it, so we didn’t have to open the app to find out. Also, Life360 allows users to save names for common locations. Maybe you could do that? The saved name could even appear on the widget when they arrive. That would be so great!

Fantastic watch for texts, calls, & location! I gave it 4/5 because the charger must be exact to charge. The kids don’t always notice that it didn’t fully connect and then go out without full charge. (Parents should confirm it’s connected.) Otherwise I highly recommend it!

This is a great way to introduce responsibility and independence without a cell phone. I am able to teach life lessons as part of growing up without chaos and drama. The only thing that I would change is allow for more repeat tasks.
