This is a great setup to keep in touch with the grandkids! I don't have to wait days for their parents to call me back so I can speak with them. I love getting "good morning" text. It is the first step to kids being responsible with technology.

Used it for 2 years now. It's reliable and works for basic communication and location. But GPS is very slow. You'll get notified 5 or 10 minutes after your child leaves "safe zone" or comes home. You can switch to real-time location for a specific reason, but that uses battery rapidly. The limit on number of contacts is also an impediment at times. But overall, we're happy with it and recently got one for our other daughter.

Just like another user commented, the location tracking fails almost everyday. Currently, my app hasn't been able to "locate" my son's phone for 5 days. Update- customer service has been outstanding trying to fix our GPS issue, with new phones and excellent communication. So I would give them 5 stars for customer service.

Update: customer service is pretty great, but GPS on the watch is still extremely unreliable. No location updates after 4 hours, and the flawed "active tracking" feature was removed so there's no way to prompt even an approximate location update. OP: Unreliable GPS, sudden logouts. There have been moments when GPS has said my child was 92 miles away in another state, or suddenly updates after a 45 minute lag (yes, I tried all the tricks), the app logged me out and won't allow me to log back in.

After my initial review and Gabb support texting to reach out we're finally on the right track. We were able to get a replacement phone and SIM card which initially seemed to have the same issue. Upon being able to speak with support in person, twice, my son's Gabb phone is working properly and without issue. The support phone number is not on their website and the "chat" feature is a dead link still, which is a shame because I found being able to talk made the situation less frustrating.
