as many have said, GPS is very slow; up to 12 hours before it refreshes. there had been at least two times that I really needed the GPS to be working and couldn't get it to refresh. that's frustrating. there are times, that the phone calls and text messages won't go through or be received. really frustrating when it coincides with GPS not locating. I don't want to switch to a different server though, because in a whole I feel this safest phone for teens; safety is built in priority.

Edited: Customer service has been fantastic working with us so far. We are getting a new watch. I will update with more stars if this new watch works better. Thanks Gabb It was working great previously, but now all the extra features have stopped working. I can't assign tasks. I can't turn off focus mode. I get 2 notifications every time instead of one.

Extremely painful to set up. (gabb watch 3e) The set up process takes hours/days for the watch and app to update and start working, but the instructions and ai assistant do not make this clear. Human phone support is very good - friendly, supportive, and helpful. Once set up the watch works pretty well and my 9yo child loves it. so I got another for my other child. The 2nd watch seemed set up (after a day of waiting) but required reboot to actually work. App menus unintuitive but work w practice

Having a minor issue with the app. We cannot add another parent to supervise my child. Only the parent that setup the phone can supervise. The app won't let us add another parent. After chatting with customer support, the work around is to login with the same account on multiple devices. Thank you to the MyGabb team for their great support!

I have had several issues with the Gabb watch 3e, and mixed experiences with customer service. They did replace the watch eventually, but it hasn't been problem-free.

Edit: I was contacted by customer service to resolve the issues I was having with saving focus modes and safe zones. Since then Ive not had any more issues with the watch. Frequent issues with saving focus modes and entering in new safe zones.

I'm updating my review after some super helpful and proactive messages from Gabb. Yes, we had a ton of trouble with our initial Gabb Watch 3e, but the replacement seems to be working OK. My daughter enjoys using it, she can contact people from a list that I select using text or voice, including her friends with Gabb watches. The setup is not super intuitive and the product can be glitchy, but after reading wirecutter, it seems like that is probably par for the course with kids wearables.

update: Customer service has been extremely helpful. Spent a lot of time with me trying to figure out the problem. Still a little glitchy but it works well enough for now.
