this app is terrible, hardly ever get notifications even when they're on, the location barely updates and it's always WAAAY off of where my child really is. should be less than $20 a month for this service. I'll give it 1 star because the texting feature actually works, everything else is not great!

Update: Every time there is an update or something goes wrong, we parents get logged out of all the gabb apps!! Why are we paying hard earned money for a system that clearly is broken? Update: Now GPS location doesn't work. Says been in the same place for 3 months!

My second child has been asking for weeks for her sister's old smartwatch. Trying to reactivate it has been incredibly frustrating. Edit: after an hour on the phone with gabb support and an overnight wait while they did some kind of backend processing, I was able to get the watch set up. If you plan to hand devices down, KEEP THE PACKAGING and be prepared to call in because the online instructions are likely only for newer devices.

do not buy. worst experience and gps RARELY works! my wife bought it for our 8 year old because she wanted to know where she was when going and coming from school. the gps rarely updates properly. the only saving grace is the calls and texts do go through just fine. Battery life is also subpar. it will be fully charged before she leaves and sometimes will die before school is over. we had to shutoff many features just for it to survive the day. do yourself a favor and get through phone provider!

gps never works when my kid is away from the house.

Watch just randomly unpairs from the app, rendering it completely pointless. The watch won't pair again after using all of the troubleshoot steps. I wouldn't recommend trusting your child's safety with gabb. UPDATE: Added a star because cancellation was easy and hassle-free. They, of course, offered to fix the problem and give discounts, but didn't pressure.

2nd Update: Here we go again! My kids can't receive or make calls or texts. You sure did take the payment tho! Lawsuit waiting to happen when a chold is in an emergency and I am here for it. It's a little different to get used to over traditional cell phones. I needed assistance from a human due the SIM card not functioning properly at first. I received a call at home and we did a reset and we are now online and good to go. I feel at ease knowing my kids can reach me when they are not with me!

My second child has been asking for weeks for her sister's old smartwatch. Trying to reactivate it has been a nightmare. I can't find any hint of it on my account. To find the IMEI number I need the original packaging (lol), or to read the impossibly tiny numbers on the back of the watch. Now the parent app is asking me to turn the watch on, and the watch is just showing me a QR code I can't scan. Incredibly frustrating.
