Does anyone know where Yune has went? He was best stylist I have had and just got a letter stating he has left. I haven't seen him in 6 weeks and was about to make an appointment but recieved the letter today? I would follow Yune to anywere he has ended up he is that good.

I have gotten my eyebrows wax for the first time by Aurea. Talk about pain FREE! I then decided I wanted to try to get a Brazilian wax for the first time. I was really nervous. After reading several reviews of how fast and easy it was with Aurea I decided to give it a go. She explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. She was very professional. I love this salon. I have had bad luck at other place but have never had a problem with this salon. I recommend having Nichole do your color she is amazing and is super friendly. I also recommend Sofie for your haircuts. She also is amazing with the curling iron.

I recommend Aurea for waxing, she is amazingggg at Brazilian waxes. At 5 1/2 months pregnant and after having a bad experience with sugar waxing which was my first time ever with any sort of wax, I will say I am now sold with Brazilian waxes with Aurea. She makes you feel comfortable and she is really fast and effective at what she does. Thank you fellow yelpers for recommending her in your reviews. I have had an amazing time every time I enter the Gene Juarez Salon! Great Color and beautiful hair cuts with nothing but smiles and wonderful customer service! Yune is an excellent stylist. I've had Nicole and Sarah both do great color treatments and on Valentines day I had an amazing blow out by Amanda (along with fresh color) that just made for the most amazing day! Thank you all so much for providing such great service :)

Update...After having some bad experiences at a few other salons (a stylist couldn't get my bangs right so he just gave up; a salon did not have a receptionist so I played cellphone tag with the colorist to get an appointment, and she still double booked the appointment; had skin torn off during an eyebrow wax at a major retailer salon), I decided to give Gene Juarez another try, but under my "soap opera" name alias. I'm only giving this four stars because I can't comment on all, or even a majority of the services that GJ offers. While I have gotten my hair cut, styled, and colored here, my makeup done and my nails and a pedicure done here, I mostly get the spa services. I have had good, ok, and bad experiences here outside of the spa. The bad was so very long ago, that I am willing to let it go. For the most part, my services have been good. Lomi-Lomi Massage with Theresa, and then the Warm Shea Butter Body Melt with Vichy Shower with Michael is like heaven on earth. Ladies, when you tire of buying junk you don't need or going to the casino to blow off stress, spend a little money on your body, mind, and spirit at the Gene Juarez Spa. You are so worth it, and it I found the price to be very reasonable for the amount of service, time, and personal attention you will receive here.

I have been using the services at Gene Juarez Tacoma Mall for years. Jennifer is expert colorist, Cori is a stylist who listens and delivers, I always feel beautiful when I walk out. Dorothy and Natalie both are great for signature mani-pedicures, that are so relaxing and beautifying . Great value for the level of service and experience .
