STOP--if you are considering having a Dental Implant performed at this office. I had an implant placed in January 2019. I went back to this office in March 2019 for "exposure of the implant--and placement of a post". During this visit, THE IMPLANT FELL OUT! This was a $2,000 procedure performed by a specialist--not a General Dentist. "I have no idea" was the specialist's explanation for the failure of the implant. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE AN HMO! At the time, my employer only offered HMO plans through work. Gentle Dental had some of the best reviews out of a lot of dental offices in the area so I went and gave them a shot. The staff is delightful, it's easy to get an appointment, the office is clean, and their toys are cool HOWEVER (and this is a big and important HOWEVER)... They quoted me $550 to replace my son's broken retainer! My son got his braces off just a few months ago. This seemed CRAZY! I figured I should see if I could get it somewhere else for less even though my preference would be to have the office who treated him for 3 years do his replacement. I recalled going to a consult at Sons & Daughters Orthodontics in Irvine, which came highly recommended, and being SUPER impressed with them. So, I called them and explained my situation. Beware! Gentle Dental may use a dental provider who is "Out of Network" according to your dental insurance and therefore may not be covered. They point to the fine print of the work authorization you signed saying "you are responsible for charges in the event your insurance denies payment." X-ray claims were denied by my insurance because they were not "clear, diagnostic (readable), labeled, mounted and dated." Not a joke! This dental office is in complete disarray. They're only after your money and will suggest a lot of unnecessary procedures. Never trust anything they say! They also charged me for procedures I did not ask for, and then charged my insurance company. They're a bunch of frauds and liars.

I have to wait for more than 50 minutes over my scheduled time. There is a construction or re-structuring work going on which makes a lot of loud noise. They have less rooms and in effective scheduling planning results in more waiting time with loud environment. Not a good place to go when you are in pain. It adds more pain.

Went there once last year. Agree with the negative comments. They didn't accept you until you do x-ray first which I didn't want it on my 9-year-old daughter. They only did X-ray and wiped her teeth. That's it! There was a big bad cavity the dentist(Dr.Chen) didn't stress that at all. Now that cavity is worse and need root canal! Also, I asked them if they can transfer the x-ray to another dental office. They didn't want to do that. All the dental office I went before can do that!

Do not, I repeat do not go here no matter what. They will overcharge you and use made up dental codes for services. Then when you catch them over charging you they will ignore your phone calls and emails. Will lie and say the head of billing is busy when she's not. I got a chipped tooth fixed here and then recently the job they did fail and now I have a clipped tooth. Please whatever you do, do not go here.

After checking in early, I waited 30 mins past my appt time without anyone saying anything to me about the wait. I walked up to receptions and said I am leaving as I should not have to wait 30 mins for my appt. The woman apologized and that was it. The office manager overheard this and did nothing. I walked out and no on has made any effort to contacting me. 5 or 10 mins to wait even maybe 15 but 30 mins without any explanation or even addressing my patience is just poor service.
