I was told 13.9kw and was charged 19.7kw. I disclosed my previous plan to the employee and he said this was my best plan. My average electric bill for 8 years has been 180$ a month. My first bill with gexa was 500$ for a month. They falsely advertise their prices by not saying and average. And a tdu charge that is very expensive. Customer service is terrible, I’ve been trying to resolve my bill but they are not helping. I already swapped companies. This is the worse electric provider I’ve ever used!

I compared Gexa plan with my existing plan and asked for a quote which includes the Oncor service charge for kw rates. I asked for a fixed rate and received a quote for 11.9kw if my usage was under 2000. When the bill arrived it was at 17.69kw - a huge difference that what I agreed on! Plus they charged additional kw from Oncor! My Bill was double my existing plan!!! I asked for a review by Gexa and they offered me a different plan with a $5 a month savings. I was with a reliable company previously for over 10 years. I think... read more

Brief Issue: Gexa has lacked providing adequate process for faulty meter issues and bill adjustment, concerning issue worsens due to the process being tech difficult/language barrier. The lack of assistance, communication between Gexa and Oncor is baffling. If I lacked the English language and tech savviness I would be paying over $1500(within a 2-3 month time frame) just to avoid having our lights disconnected which is a concern to how others could be doing in this same scenario. Complaint has been filed with PUC and now su... read more

Consumers, I was with Gexa Energy for several years at .897 kilowatt plan. I was not warned that not resigning with another plan I would pay .219 until I received my enormous August bill!!! Beware

This was the worst electric provider. I decided to switch providers since my contract was up for renewal with my old provider and they said rates would be going up. I looked around and Gexa seemed like a good choice. That was a huge mistake on my part. For one month of service with Gexa I paid almost $600 when I have never had that insane amount of electric bills with my previous provider. I signed up for their saver deluxe plan and ended up paying double the Kwh I normally use. Not happy with this company at all. I switched... read more

Price advertised was not what was provided. Plan was advertised as 14.1 cents kWh, but you had to fall between 1000-2000 hours. First bill I got was for just 12 days, so I was under 1k. Second bill I got was for 38 days that but me over 2k. I called to complain, and their answer was to set me up with another plan at 19 cents kWh. I gave up and just moved to another provider.

We have been using Gexa for about a 5 month, with in the time our service was removed and transferred to another service provider. This took place on the 6 of may, 2022. We have been trying to come up with a resolution and are not satisfied with the customer service that they are providing. The energy bill went sky high and to much avail they will not do anything about it. We don’t have proof that the energy bill usage is not ours except for the fact that the bills have been coming in another name from ***** Energy. It took ... read more
