Consumers, I was with Gexa Energy for several years at .897 kilowatt plan. I was not warned that not resigning with another plan I would pay .219 until I received my enormous August bill!!! Beware

This was the worst electric provider. I decided to switch providers since my contract was up for renewal with my old provider and they said rates would be going up. I looked around and Gexa seemed like a good choice. That was a huge mistake on my part. For one month of service with Gexa I paid almost $600 when I have never had that insane amount of electric bills with my previous provider. Price advertised was not what was provided. Plan was advertised as 14.1 cents kWh, but you had to fall between 1000-2000 hours. First bill I got was for just 12 days, so I was under 1k. Second bill I got was for 38 days that but me over 2k. I called to complain, and their answer was to set me up with another plan at 19 cents kWh. I gave up and just moved to another provider.

One of the most unprofessional companies I have ever endured in my life I called last week asked for an ext till today I put 100$ down on 175 bill and asked for an ext they said it was in place 08/18/2022 my lights were cut off in the middle of me working from home and with a new born child called the company three times to see what was going on got the run around from three different agents the last one said the order was submitted it just may take awhile because center-point has a lot of requests it’s is now 6:15 in the mo... read more

We have been using Gexa for about a 5 month, with in the time our service was removed and transferred to another service provider. This took place on the 6 of may, 2022. We have been trying to come up with a resolution and are not satisfied with the customer service that they are providing. The energy bill went sky high and to much avail they will not do anything about it. I had the most unfortunate experience with this company. At the beginning I was told that I was going to get a 11.9 plan and get a smart thermostat the next day and that My bill was going to be x. I called later because they never showed up at my house to install the thermostat. I was told then that I was not going to get that because I had to change my plan. I called again because a credit that I was promised to get between 1000 and 2000 kwt was not in my bill. After talking with them for a while and get a different version... read more

I do not know if Gexa charges and rates are good. But I do know that they do not tell you the truth about the charges when you're signing up or trying to decide to sign up. I found them online and filled out a hormone question the asked was do you want to switch energy companies in the next month or the next 7 days?, I was seeking more information, I wanted to speak with one of Gexa representatives. After years with a fixed payment plan with budget billing, Gexa had a representative call to inform me that my next bill due in 2 weeks will include the amount differed in addition to my normal bill. The representative said the company decided to bill the amount for customers on this plan which meant I need to pay about $900 when my usual bill never exceeds $300. Bad changes no consideration for their customers and their living circumstances.
