At first I was in love with Gexa Energy, until my contract was up and there was no auto-renewal process in place for my current rate. Therefore, due to the absence of an auto-renewal in place for customers, my contract transitioned to a month-to-month basis doubling my bill to $320 dollars. I can't believe that during a time like this Gexa Energy would take advantage of their customers in such a manner, showing what true corporate greed really looks like. I left TXU because of the billing smoke and mirrors, Gexa was reasonable. Right after the Texas energy collapse I had to renew with Gexa and 2 months in here we are. When I renewed the representative was really selling me on the plan to meet 1000 to 2000 usage, was reviewed several times. After review if I’d stayed with my plan with Gexa everything would have been fine. My average bills last year was between $100-150. WARNING: Brand new customer; signed up on 1/17/2022 and as of 2/7/2022 still hadn't heard about receiving the Energy Optimizer Service with 1 Emerson Sensi thermostat that I agreed to. So, today 2/7/2022 I attempted to cancel the thermostat order. The first person I spoke with put me on hold for 21 mins. The second person I spoke to (tier 2) put me on hold for 11 mins and then told me I would be charged over $200 for something that was never installed nor did I receive any information about it. I live in a 1 bedroom apt. My bill went from $50 -$ 200 Gexa energy inflates my bill high My apartment is very small. I only leave 1 light on. They are a rip off. I don't recommend this company

Disappointed in the customer service I received today. I called to ask if we could have a payment extension and pay $94 today instead of the regular $120, and that we could pay the rest tomorrow. The agent and his supervisor told us we could so we paid it, then 6 hours later without any electricity, they can’t figure out who I talked to this morning and they won’t turn the electric back on.

I am 68 years old and asked that Gexa Energy waive my deposit. Gexa Energy was my most recent service provider. I had service with Gexa thru June 30, 2021 at: *********** ****** Blvd / Apt **7 *******, TX 7**** My customer number was: ********On July 1, 2021 I moved to California for 4 months on a work assignment and stayed in a full utilities paid Airbnb. I am usually not a person to leave reviews about businesses especially when it comes to electric companies but this is by far the worst one I've been with yet. First off they enjoy leaving out certain parts of your electricity plan when you first sign up and only tell you the things you want to hear. They made my process so much harder and more stressful !! They took way too long for me to get electric on inside of my new place…a sales rep said they would call me back and I’ve waited 4 hours. I called back and each time they needed more information sent to the company e-mail which I had to wait for them to respond to my e-mail (2hours later)…just for them to call and say I need to submit MORE information instead of just telling ALL the information they needed me to submit! they kept transferring me without even telling m... read more

Absolutely appalling service! Customer service is a joke. This pathetic excuse for a company just charged us 5X! They over charged us $937 when we called to speak to a representative we were on hold (both my wife and I separately) 50 min. When we finally got someone on the phone they just transferred us around the multiple ********** ** ******** ******* their call center is in claiming they can help us reverse the charges but it will take 10 business days.
