Disappointed in the customer service I received today. I called to ask if we could have a payment extension and pay $94 today instead of the regular $120, and that we could pay the rest tomorrow. The agent and his supervisor told us we could so we paid it, then 6 hours later without any electricity, they can’t figure out who I talked to this morning and they won’t turn the electric back on.

I am 68 years old and asked that Gexa Energy waive my deposit. Gexa Energy was my most recent service provider. I had service with Gexa thru June 30, 2021 at: *********** ****** Blvd / Apt **7 *******, TX 7**** My customer number was: ********On July 1, 2021 I moved to California for 4 months on a work assignment and stayed in a full utilities paid Airbnb. I am usually not a person to leave reviews about businesses especially when it comes to electric companies but this is by far the worst one I've been with yet. First off they enjoy leaving out certain parts of your electricity plan when you first sign up and only tell you the things you want to hear. I had an issue where their website took $400 out of my account when I never authorized any payment to be pulled from my account and that took almost an entire month of calling day after day to get my refund (took 4 managers to g... read more

They made my process so much harder and more stressful !! They took way too long for me to get electric on inside of my new place…a sales rep said they would call me back and I’ve waited 4 hours. I called back and each time they needed more information sent to the company e-mail which I had to wait for them to respond to my e-mail (2hours later)…just for them to call and say I need to submit MORE information instead of just telling ALL the information they needed me to submit! they kept transferring me without even telling m... read more

Absolutely appalling service! Customer service is a joke. This pathetic excuse for a company just charged us 5X! They over charged us $937 when we called to speak to a representative we were on hold (both my wife and I separately) 50 min. When we finally got someone on the phone they just transferred us around the multiple ********** ** ******** ******* their call center is in claiming they can help us reverse the charges but it will take 10 business days. We don't make a lot of money and have small children. This was the wo... read more

Worst experience ever. I feel like such a fool now. I signed up for a plan that offered a discount rate for my median energy usage. Through unknown ways, my monthly energy usage has suddenly skyrocketed over document year-over-year usage and I'm getting screwed by Gexa Energy with $400 a month bills now. I emailed the customer service department and never received a response. The Gexa Energy Plans are total bait and switch. If ZERO stars was an options, I would choose that as an option. DO NOT choose this company as your service provider. They have been a headache since day one. I did not sign a service agreement with them, just asked for information on their current energy plans. They started a service plan for me without my consent. I contacted them to cancel the plan well before I closed on the new house (I have the emails with dates to prove the communication occurred well in advance). I would recommend to no one. When I moved from one house (using Gexa) to another, less than 2 miles away, in the same city (where I also signed up with Gexa), I was notified of a $900+ “true-up charge” from the previous house (read their small print, I assume), after we had already moved (and signed with Gexa) to the new house. I contacted Gexa. I was dealing with a nice rep (Luis). We had agreed to speak again in two days.
