Absolutely horrible customer service. When one person answers the phone they say they can’t help you and put you on hold for hours to talk to someone else who also cannot help. Even when going through the phone prompts to get to the correct representative they still do not know how to do their job. Being on the phone for 5+ hours to cancel their service is ridiculous.
I have used a variety of electricity providers, but Gexa is by far the worst. Between the surly customer service representatives and the absurd $70 for not using enough electricity each month, I cannot understand how they've managed to stay in business when there are so many other options available. I have recently changed providers and have been charged extra because I haven't used enough energy (because who cares about the environment and being energy efficient). Worst customer service I have ever delt with !!! And they automatically renewed my plan after they switched me to a more expensive plan without my consent,,, I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and signed up for a 500 kw plan and they changed it to 2000 kw plan ,,,I'm paying over $150 a month for electricity for a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 people that work 10 hours a day and hardly ever home!!! It is a racket and scamming people out of there hard earned money !!!!!
Absolutely most awful electricity service I have ever used. My old apartment flooded. (I called the next day to transfer services to my new apartment unit) I was given the whole, "everything is set!". Only come to find out that the transfer was NEVER made and that instead, I was paying for two service locations when I had initially requested a transfer! I chose 1 star because it wouldn’t let me choose lower. I moved into a new rent home and contacted Gexa to get electric as a new customer. They charged me $175 deposit and I paid it and received a confirmation email as a new customer and services were starting that day. Well all day I waited for my electric to come on and when it didn’t I called, and they told me the previous renter had a a switch hold on the residence. Zafar was very helpful explaining the best plan for my home based on our usage. Prior to speaking with Zafar I spoke with Tyresha who also was very helpful but my question was not in her area of responsibility. Overall everyone that I spoke to was very courteous and helpful. Their attitude was refreshing, everyone just wanted to help you get the information that you were seeking.
Alex was extremely polite, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He answered all of my questions.

Good experience signing up for Gexa Energy, was a previous customer, last time I signed up what they told me about the KW charges were correct no additions to the billings.
