Kitchen was unbalanced and a little off with long waits and food being just OK. My chop came hot, but was salted too much and the grits they were placed on were cold. My wife's fish was OK she said. Server was nice.
The food was superb and lots of it, but the service was very slow which was disappointing this time. We frequent The Haven on a regular basis and the service was very slow when there were empty tables yet. This surprised us as we had never had this experience before. We chose to take home one of the two main courses and dessert as there was so much food. We asked not to add ice-cream on the dessert as it would be mush. Food was good and had I been seated away from te servers station I might have enjoyed the experience. Server had NO VOICE. Table next to me was right on top of me.
The food was fantastic. Had a set menu for Easter Brunch and it was well worth it. The service was not the best. We were waiting for each of our plates and drink refills as well as the check. It was busy, but the attention to our table was minimal.
The food and service were both excellent. Good menu. We were celebrating a birthday and it was perfect.
I've been out of town for over a year, and looked forward to a dinner at an old favorite. Unfortunatley the food was just not very good. I had the special - Veal Schnitzel with root vegetables. They were covered in a sauce that was almost sweet enough for a dessert - really just awful.
We've been for dinner and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, their brunch did not live up to the expectations. Definitely would recommend NOT getting the shrimp and grits - it was cold and generally flavorless.
Great food. Noise level inside is almost unbearable if you want to have any kind of conversation.
Although the weather was great for patio dining, it wasn't that great for the food execution. Each had an egg dish, 2 Joshua Benedicts, the Hash and the Sandwich. None of the egg yolks were even close to being running. All over cooked, unfortunately.
