Do not buy - terrible product We can't use the printer because it won't connect to the internet. The setup documents are terrible. I'm pretty confident with this stuff, but after 2 hours of struggling with it, I've given up and decided to return it.
Very low yield Toner provided The description says that "Starter Toner Cartridge (700 page yield est)." Actually, it seems to only print about 200 pages. If you like to buy this printer, order extra toner cartridges at the same time.
Good printer with bad software Piece of junk. This printer is always in ”Deep. Sleep” mode and never wakes up, making it very difficult to use. When you finally get it to work, it does do a good job printing, but be ready for a frustrating experience to get it to work.
Did not come with a toner or drum. Had to spend extra money to buy the toner and drums. I’m furious.
This is what printer nightmares are made of This printer is pretty much like any printers where they don't work, cannot connect to the network, and are utterly useless. Upon initial setup, everything worked. Then after a year of working flawlessly, the device suddenly cannot connect to the network no matter what I do. There is no reason for this. Nothing has changed on my network. This thing has turned into a giant brick.
do not buy if you have a new Mac 0S11 Brother should reimburse me all the hours i spent trying to get this to work! The description claims that it is compatible with Mac OS11 but IT IS NOT!! argh!
Worst set up experience ever Setting up this printer feels like dealing with an insurance company. So painful and circuitous that it has to go back. I tried to do it on both my work and personal computer, figuring that if it didn't work on the PC, at least it would work on the Mac. No no, definitely not. I tried doing it with my wireless connection, and even bought a USB cord to do the "alternate set-up" option. Still no bueno. I finally have to give up after a week of trying, and it's going back to Amazon.
Not impressed Not impressed, wish I didn’t spend so much on it
DO NOT BUY!! LASTED ONLY 19 MONTHS WITH LIMITED USE!! Although compact and easy to use, my printer suddenly stopped working today after 19 months - no power at all - it's just 7 months out of the 1 year warranty and did not get heavy use. A printer should last longer than 19 months! Just to bring it in for service and diagnostics is $150 and it only cost $259, so not worth it. Very poor quality - BROTHER - you should deal with this!
