NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS I bought this less than a year ago and have had nothing but problems. I love Brother printers but this one isn't a good one. I read the reviews about connectivity issues and thought I could deal with them because I sit right next to it while I work. It constantly went offline and I had to turn it on and off to reconnect. So bad I really hate this printer. I bought it for only a few months and it took very little time. I printed less than 20 sheets of paper. When I used it again half a month ago, it didn’t work and displayed the error code 0B. Contact Amazon, because For more than 3 months, Amazon customer service asked me to contact brother. I bought the Brother printer on Amazon, but I didn’t buy it from brother. Amazon’s operation made me very disappointed.
Lot of stuff I wish I knew Printer can be set up via CD, USB, Wirelessly, or via an app. As most modern computers dont have/use CD readers anymore that was out. They dont supply a USB so thats an additional 7.99 purchase. It wont connect to certain wireless routers and the list of compatible ones are hidden on website and took about 10-15 min to find. Stops printing even with toner left I am so sick of printers that stop printing because they are programed to stop printing after a certain number of pages. This printer will print pages that are clearly legible, then stop printing because the sensors tell it that the toner is "low". I, and I alone, should decide when to change the toner cartridge. This is just another way for these thieves to steal your money on toner/ink. DO. NOT. BUY.
Total Frustration This is my fourth Brother printer and by far the most difficult to set up. The instructions for dealing with the deep sleep mode are inadequate. Why does a printer have to be shipped in this mode in the first place. I still haven’t got it to work properly. Definitely my last Brother printer.
Dont buy this--failed after approximately two years of vey light use I bought this approx. 2 years ago for home printing. It had become increasingly difficult to find replacement toner and ink cartridges over the last 6 months, and changing the toner has always been tricky given the complicated set up that requires both a drum and toner to be combined. What’s important to know never buy a refurbished electronics ever I’m never buying anything refurbished ever again I can’t turn it off can’t turn it on it stopped connecting with the Wi-Fi it stopped printing and then when he does print print extra copies when I didn’t ask for extra copies told me I needed add paper and guess what there was paper there so I didn’t need to add paper and I’m only had it for a few months no more refurbished stuff for me
When you run out of toner, it’s trash, will not reset! First time to change toner cartridge. Will not reset, keeps saying out of toner. Do not buy this printer I’m very disappointed in this product.
