Good, when it works I've owned multiple Brother printers over the last few years and have always been happy with their products. This printer worked great... until today. Now it is seemingly incapable of reconnecting to my computer. I'm in my 30s and worked with tech my whole life and I'm at a loss with this printer. Office Space is about to go down....

Huge restocking fees to return I returned this item because after unpacking it I realized it wasn’t network capable. They charged almost half the cost of the printer to return it. Completely dissatisfied. It wasn’t even used.
Worthless P.O.S. Had this for a year. I constantly says there is a paper jam and will not print except there is never a jam. Called Brother support and after convincing them it was a problem they sent me another one and never asked for one back. Two P.O.S.! Yes that is right the second one has the same problem so that should tell you to stay away from this waste of Earth's resources.
Inconsistent and crappy support It prints, sporadically, so I suppose it technically fulfills its role as a printer, and set up wasn't terrible, but that's about all I can say in its favor. I set it up yesterday, and have only had 7 of 30 attempted prints go through. I've tried multiple devices, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer, following every FAQ and help article I can find, talking to support for almost an hour in the least helpful and most frustrating customer service chat experience I've ever had, etc. and noth... read more
Printer won't power up & it is now 6-months after the warranty expired. The wifi constantly lost communication with computers & had to be rebooted. Now the printer won't power up. I went through all the recommended troubleshooting & they say it needs warranty service. however, the warranty expired 4-months ago. When it printed it was fast & worked great.
Stopped working This printer stopped working after 2 years. We barely used it (maybe once per week). It stopped recognizing the toner, and we tried EVERY tech support option - to no avail. 2 years is a bit too quick for a lightly used printer to fail. I recommend you stay away from this one.
WiFi useless You basically have to mess with the printer and stand right in front of it every time you want to use it. Sleep mode is a pain.
Waste of time and money In this day and age when one is able to add wireless network printers in a jiffy, the setup was an absolute nightmare. I purchased this printer for my son who moved into an apt for his sophomore year. Despite connecting to the apt’s network, it wouldn’t show up on my son’s MacBook Pro. After a few calls to support, they couldn’t address the issue and they blamed it on the network config in the apartment which was lame.
