Does not come with cord or clear instructions I am relatively tech savvy but this Was a hard unit to pair with my WiFi. Do yourself a favor and google instructions..
CONSTANTLY FALLS ASLEEP My device has started falling asleep within seconds of my manually rebooting it because it is listed as OFFLINE. When operational, it is a fantastic printer but It has now become unusable.
So disappointed Don’t usually write reviews but don’t buy this printer. Connecting to the printer is a struggle. Calling tech support and waiting for minutes just to get the call ended by then. Wasting more time than I care to admit on trying to resolve this on my own before giving up.
Generic print cartridge I've had this printer for 2 years. In the beginning I swapped out the brother print cartridge for a generic one. I had to call tech support and they were really unfriendly but eventually guided me through the process to let the printer accept the other cartridge. I have been using the same cartridges since but all of a sudden it says Can not detect toner cartridge. I watched a bunch of you tube videos on how to correct this but nothing works. Wont turn on Wont turn on after 5 months. Tried online tricks to get it to reset
gives me nothing but problems horrable print quality
1st Amazon Disappointment Mine came USED and damaged. It had opened ink, scratches and dents all over. I returned mine and did not rebuy.

Mac wireless setup? Good luck! This is my third brother printer. Printer is wonderful, as the print-test page shows, but I am now two hours into trying to connect it to my Mac and still stuck. I am sure there is some special procedure somewhere that will magically make it happen, but my frustration is building rapidly. Brother could have made this easy for me, but didn't. Update-- I now find that Brother does not offer a printer driver for the latest Mac operating system. (Mac OS11 as of June21). No wonder it works so badly.
